Abstract: A safety device is provided that includes a roller shutter and a fire alarm. A communications connection is provided between the fire alarm and the roller shutter. When the fire alarm detects the presence of a fire, a corresponding signal is transmitted to the roller shutter via the communications connection. The roller shutter is then opened.

Abstract: An overcurrent trip (1) for circuit breakers or motor safety switches has a very short reaction time. The short reaction time is achieved by connecting a bimetal snap-action disk (8) to the heating device (7) in such a way that its central region is always in contact with the heating device (7), irrespective of creeping movement. This heating device (7) is formed by a ferromagnetic core (5) on which the magnet winding (12) is directly fitted, without a further yoke, which magnetic winding simultaneously serves as the heating winding. The bimetal snap-action disk (8) is held on this heating device (7) with the aid of the electromagnetically actuated rod (21), while a plunger (43) which coaxially surrounds the electromagnetically actuated rod is moved by the bimetal snap-action disk (8).

Abstract: An electrical full protection circuit breaker for interrupting a current circuit in response to an overload current, or a short circuit current, or in response to an earth leakage or fault current, includes the structural and functional combination of one or several single pole circuit breakers with an earth leakage current circuit breaker. Each circuit breaker has a narrow and compact structure and the same housing contour. The fault current circuit breaker member, which is coupled with one or more single pole circuit breakers, has its own contact interruption elements. Additionally, the fault current circuit breaker is provided in its outwardly located terminal connection zone with a freely accessible summing current transformer which is constructed as a bushing transformer.

Abstract: The present heavy duty automatic circuit breaker is compact in construction, since all elements are coordinated to each other in an efficient manner. Thus, an upper arc guide plate of a quenching stack is extended to form the stationary contact member. The movable contact member is a single arm pivot contact arranged directly in front of said quenching stack. A lower arc guide plate of the quenching stack is extended and electrically connected to the movable contact member. The circuit breaker includes means for either manual or automatic circuit breaking, the latter in response to overload and/or excess temperature conditions.
