  • Patent number: 7701087
Abstract: The present invention provides a method, computer program product, and apparatus and control system and method for providing substantially uninterrupted power to a load. The apparatus includes a control system coupled with an electrical power storage subsystem and a electrical power generator. The control system is configured to provide a plurality of modes of operation including at least a static compensator (STATCOM) mode, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) mode and a generator mode (gen set), and to control transitions between each of the plurality of modes. In one embodiment, the control system is an integrated closed loop control system that includes a current control system and a voltage control system. The apparatus is capable of operating at least two of the plurality of modes simultaneously, including ramping the gen set mode up and simultaneously ramping the UPS mode down as the gen set mode is ramped down.

  • Patent number: 6498464
Abstract: A system for supplying power to a load connected to a power supply network, to achieve improve operating. the invention provides for the load to be connected via an inductive element, such as a duplex inductor, to the electrical supply network and to an energy store. With the inductive element having the same turns ratios, the impedance between the electrical power supply network and the energy store is greater by a factor of about 4 than that between the load and the power supply network or the energy store.

  • Patent number: 6370682
Abstract: Re-use and platform independence of application software is achieved by using component types comprising an interface and a body. This is followed by automatically generating components based on the developed component types. The development process steps are preceded by an adaptation process step, during which the functionality of all component types is defined for all the platforms.

  • Patent number: 6011708
Abstract: A method and a device may be used for controlling the working points of a series-resonant-circuit inverter. The frequency of the inverter is controlled as a manipulated variable in dependence upon a defined phase-angle system deviation in such a way that a determined phase-angle actual value of a measurable state variable of the load circuit, whose phase-frequency characteristic has a monotonically falling curve, corresponds to a specifiable phase-angle setpoint value. Thus, a method and a device are implemented for controlling the working points of a series-resonant-circuit inverter, by which means the operating range prescribed for the series-resonant-circuit inverter is detected and kept stable independently of parameter fluctuations of the resonant circuit elements.
