  • Publication number: 20040254548
Abstract: The invention relates to an incontinence insert for absorbing urine in male incontinence. This incontinence insert is placed in the genital region, between the underpants and the abdominal wall, and detachably joined to the underpants. Its shaping prevents the penis from coming to rest beside the incontinence insert. For this purpose the incontinence insert has two lateral peripheral beads, which fix the penis and thus the urethral orifice in the middle position. A further variant comprises the provision that the incontinence insert together with the underpants forms a functional unit, which has a slit in its middle region.

  • Publication number: 20020016585
Abstract: A catheter for removing urine from the bladder, or also for removal of other bodily fluids, which is of such type that ascending infections are prevented to the greatest degree possible. The catheter is designed in such a way that, when it is used for removing urine, the urethra is rinsed by the urine of the individual. A coating of the catheter walls with a substance which itself slowly dissolves in an aqueous environment assures that the surface of the catheter wall is continuously renewed and thereby prevents the spreading of germs on the surface of the catheter wall in the direction of the bladder.

  • Patent number: 6053897
Abstract: An apparatus for maintaining the patency of urine flow through the human urethra, having an intra-urethral catheter (IUC), which has a potential through flow for the urine that extends over its length. The length of the IUC is shorter than the length of the urethra, and the IUC does not protrude from the urethral orifice at either of its ends. A transport means for the insertion of the IUC into the urethra is also associated with the apparatus. Devices are further provided on the ends of the IUC for producing a detachable connection between the IUC and the transport means. The IUC is disposed in the region of the urethra which passes through the prostate gland and the inner sphincter.

  • Patent number: 6015379
Abstract: An erection aid for stiffening the male member, which in the position for use is wrapped around the body of the penis and largely covers it, which is in the form of an elastic stiffening band that is stretchable and wherein at least one of the faces of the elastic stiffening band is self-adhesive so that the individual windings of this stiffening band adhere to one another solely by static friction, and so that the bottommost winding of the stiffening band adheres to the skin of the penis by static friction, and which stiffening band further contains rigid reinforcements positioned crosswise to the winding direction and spaced apart from one another.

  • Patent number: 5817122
Abstract: The invention is based on an arrangement of a ureter split, a guide and an auxiliary splint, wherein a releasable connection between the guide and the hollow ureter splint is provided, which connects the ureter splint by being turned along with the guide, wherein after releasing this threaded connection the guide can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the ureter splint in respect to it and, if required, can be completely pulled out.

  • Patent number: 4950278
Abstract: An endoscope which contains, in a housing, in parallel relationship, a light guide, at least one flushing duct, and a continuously driven shaft which carries at its end, protruding in operation from the tip of the endoscope, a cutting instrument having a plurality of cutting blades. This design makes it possible to remove pieces of tissue, for example, for laboratory tests in a more intact way than was possible with the endoscope according to the parent U.S. Pat. No. 4,756,309. The endoscope disclosed herein lends itself to a wide variety of medical fields.
