  • Patent number: 5388716
Abstract: Double-walled container for pressure-tight dispensers, having a cup-shaped inside container and a one-piece outside container is disclosed. The neck attachment of the flask-like outside container is provided with an inverted zone by which an annular groove is formed inside the outside container and the inside container is adhesively secured within the groove. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a double-walled container which includes the steps of positioning the inside container into the cylindrical outside container, shaping the outside container at the upper portion into a flask-like shape without deforming the inside container, and securing the inside container into the groove formed by the deformation.

  • Patent number: 5320255
Abstract: A container for storing a product under pressure and dispensing the stored product comprises a container body having screw threads arranged about an opening of the container body, a valve for dispensing a pressurized product from the container, and a closure having screw threads thereon threaded onto the threaded container body for fastening the closure and the valve to the container body to close the opening. One or more passages are provided in the container body and/or the closure for introducing pressurized gas between the closure and container body and into the container through the container opening when the closure is being screwed onto the container body. In a preferred embodiment, the container is a barrier pack container having an inner collapsible container located within the container body to provide separate chambers for propellent and product.

  • Patent number: 4753364
Abstract: A method and apparatus for making a necked container are disclosed wherein a sheet material is formed into a generally cylindrical tubular member and the adjacent longitudinally extending edges of the sheet are butt welded. The welded tubular member is progressively necked-in over a dome-shaped surface of a single mandrel provided within the welded tubular member. The free end of the necked end portion of the tubular member is trimmed and curled to form a necked container body.

  • Patent number: 4485935
Abstract: An easy-open structure for containers and a method of forming the same are disclosed. The easy-open structure comprises a sheet material container wall panel having a scoreline formed therein outlining a movable wall portion to be moved out of conforming contour with the remainder of the sheet material wall panel, and an elongated tab opener for moving the movable wall portion out of conforming contour with the remainder of the wall panel. The tab opener is welded to the movable wall portion with a high energy density welding process wherein the energy density is at least on the order of 10.sup.6 watts/inch.sup.2. Preferably the welding is accomplished by laser welding.
