  • Patent number: 7350318
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for continuous heat treatment of granulated materials, especially to the crystallization of polymer granulate, such as polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) for example. The device comprises several adjacent fluidization chambers respectively provided with a sieve plate through which a fluidization gas used to fluidize the granulate can be insufflated into the respective chamber from below via a gas inlet, the gas being able to escape via a gas outlet in the top area of the device. The first chamber takes up the greater part of the overall volume of all chambers and neighboring chambers are, respectively, fluidically connected by product throughflow openings in the separating walls arranged therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20040010934
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for the thermal secondary treatment of plastic material in granulate form, in particular of polyester material such as polyethylene-terephthalate, in a flat shaft reactor comprising a substantially rectangular cross-section. The shaft (1) consists of an upper region (4) and a lower region (5), whose horizontal cross-section (Q5) tapers downwards in a vertical direction. At least sections of the vertical shaft walls (4A) and (4B) have screen-type gas dispersion regions. The large opposing shaft walls 5a and of the lower outlet region (5) are likewise gas dispersion regions. The gas dispersion regions consist of wedge-wire screens, which can have different arrangements of gaps according to requirements. The special gap arrangements in the wedge-wire screens allow the standardisation of the granulate speed profile over horizontal cross-sections in the shaft region.

  • Patent number: 4379356
Abstract: A device and a method for producing skinless sausages by the use of molds are disclosed. The molds comprise individual hollow tubes which are open at both ends. The molds are detachably supported on conveying means and conveyed to a filling device where they are filled with sausage meat. The molds are next brought to a heating device where the sausage meat is heated until the surface is coagulated. The sausage meat at the open ends is allowed to develop freely. The molds are then conveyed to an extraction device where the sausages are extracted from the molds and transported for further treatment. The molds are, in turn, cleaned and returned to the filling device. By means of the use of molds comprising individual tubes which are detachably supported on the conveying means, great flexibility is assured in the process and in the configuration of the machine.

  • Patent number: 4190230
Abstract: A scavenging air valve for cleaning at least one tubular filter body is disclosed. The air valve has a laminar valve body, one side of which forms, by means of its inner portion, the shutoff for the inlet of a scavenging air line. Its edge zones of said one side face toward a scavenging air chamber. The valve body is movable perpendicular to the side mentioned, inside of a maintaining chamber, under the effect of the scavenging air. The maintaining chamber is, on the one hand, in constant communication with the scavenging air chamber over at least one throttling point and, on the other hand, is connected to a blockable exhaust air line through means of a control valve.
