  • Patent number: 6038066
Abstract: An arrangement for generating a defined longitudinal chromatic aberration in a beam path of a confocal microscope. The arrangement includes using a confocal microscope with a microscope objective, and supplementary optics which are arranged in the imaging beam path of the microscope objective. The supplementary optics include at least two dual lens optical elements for generating the longitudinal chromatic aberration.

  • Patent number: 5731910
Abstract: An optical system with variable image scale for video recordings by means of a CCD camera at a microscope. A video zoom adapting arrangement with a short overall length which enables all image scales for video cameras required in practice is realized in that three optical components with a positive focal length are provided. One optical component is stationary and a second and third optical component are arranged after the first optical component, as viewed in the imaging direction, so as to be displaceable.

  • Patent number: 5657158
Abstract: The invention is directed to a microscope having an objective corrected to infinity and a pivotable binocular viewing unit. A tube lens is arranged downstream of the objective. The microscope includes at least one two-lens tube lens having a focal intercept greater than 200 mm as well as a tiltable mirror element and a further deflecting element mounted between the tube lens and the binocular viewing unit.

  • Patent number: 4634234
Abstract: The invention relates to a front lens group for an immersion objective of BD arrangement with high aperture, suitable for a dark field incident illumination of a widefield immersion objective for microscopes. A spherical front lens surface is provided with a totally reflecting aspherical surface section via which the light is guided to the object, and is combined with a suitable epipolar system to produce a widefield immersion objective of even and colorfree illumination. The lens group is forwardly self-contained.
