  • Patent number: 5618858
Abstract: A polymer material for manufacturing arcing chambers for low-voltage switchgear is characterized by a thermoplastic polymer matrix of polyamide or polyolefin which contains a cellulose material sheathed by cured melamine-formaldehyde resin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 5, 1996
Date of Patent: April 8, 1997
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 4071526
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the preparation of additives for influencing the electrocrystalline growth in aprotic oxygen- and water-free organo-aluminum electrolyte media. A compound which contains a sulfonimide or sulfonamide group as the reactable group, preferably, N-benzoylbenzenesulfonimide, optionally in the presence of an inert organic solvent, is reacted with at least one organoaluminum compound of the general formula AlR.sub.3, where R is an alkyl radical, in the ratio of 1:1 to 1:6.The additives obtained furnish a bright aluminum coating on metals and conductive materials in direct electrodeposition.

  • Patent number: 4032413
Abstract: The invention provides an electroplating bath and a method for the electrodeposition of bright aluminum coatings on metals and conductive materials with aprotic oxygen- and water-free, organo-aluminum electrolytes which contain as a brightener at least one additive with at least one sulfonamide, sulfonimide and/or carbimide group. Particularly suitable brighteners are o-benzoic acid sulfonimide, N-benzoylbenzenesulfonamide and the reaction products of o-benzoic acid sulfonimide or N-benzoylbenzenesulfonamide with aluminum triethyl.Using the method, a fast-adhering and corrosion-resistant bright aluminum coating is obtained which finds use for decorative purposes and, generally, for corrosion protection in surface finishing, e.g., also as mirrors and reflectors for light and heat radiators.
