  • Patent number: 4625853
Abstract: An apparatus for the transport of rollable workpieces, in particular gears, with a conveyor chain which extends over two return points, on the upper reach of which chain the workpieces rest or roll. Between two horizontal sections of the upper chain reach, which sections lie in different planes, there is provided an inclined section, in the area of which lies the clamping and machining station of a machine tool, to which roll the workpieces. The inclination of this section is changeable by means of a rocker arm, in order to be able to adjust the distance between the clamping device and the conveyor chain to various workpiece dimensions.

  • Patent number: 4618309
Abstract: A mechanical handling mechanism with a small space requirement consists of oppositely rotatable swivel arms, at the one ends thereof are pivotally connected hinge arms, at the other ends of which are pivotally connected a joint head. The joint head carries a gripping mechanism, the position stiffness of which is assured by a sliding joint parallelogram between the swivel arms and the joint head. The swivel arms are functionally connected together, however, they can also be driven individually. In the latter construction, various desired targets can be reached by the gripping mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4533034
Abstract: A pallet magazine for automatically supplying and removing pallets, each carrying a workpiece, to and from the working space of a machine tool. The pallets, which rest freely and with any desired spacing from one another on moving chains which effect the transport thereof, are lifted off the chains at a waiting station and are then moved to the working station where the workpiece is machined. At the same time a pallet at the working station with a workpiece which has already been machined is placed back on the moving chains. For lifting, sliding and moving out or lowering the pallets, there is provided a hydraulically operated slide mechanism, which effects the sliding and moving of the pallets to and away from the working station more quickly than the pallets are transported on the chains.

  • Patent number: 4519733
Abstract: A sliding member having two gripping devices removes a finished workpiece from a machine and at the same time introduces a blank workpiece. The sliding member carries out a rectilinear feed and return movement, for which it is hydraulically driven. All movements of the two gripping device systems are controlled by cams, including (1) opening and closing the finished part gripping device when picking up the finished part, (2) swivelling the finished part gripping device approximately 90.degree., (3) opening and closing the blank gripping device as the sliding member is returned, (4) again erecting the finished part gripping device when outside of the machine, and (5) stabilizing the blank and finished part gripping devices during movement of the sliding member.

  • Patent number: 4442935
Abstract: A pallet magazine for transporting workpieces from a loading station to an unloading station, and possibly past a working station, has two parallel, endless conveyor chain loops supported on and driven by spaced pairs of sprocket wheels having horizontal axes. A plurality of pallets for carrying the workpieces are adapted to rest slidably on the upper sections of the chains and to hang freely from the lower sections of the chains. A further sprocket wheel is provided between the sprocket wheels of each said pair thereof, and a rack adapted to engage the further sprocket wheels is provided on the underside of each pallet. Each pallet has lateral guide rollers with horizontal axes which engage semicircular guide members provided adjacent the sprocket wheels. A guide rail extends between the further sprocket wheels and is received between spaced guide projections provided on the pallet racks.
