  • Patent number: 5882485
Abstract: A process for the separation of dimethyl ether and chloromethane in mixturesA process for the separation of dimethyl ether and chloromethane in mixtures by two distillation steps. In the first step, the mixture is subjected to an extractive distillation with water, aqueous salt solutions or organic liquids as extractant, the top product being chloromethane. In the second step, the dimethyl ether is separated from the extractant.

  • Patent number: 5843286
Abstract: A process for the preparation and fractionation of a mixture of dimethyl ether and chloromethane by extractive distillation with water as extractant. The mixture is prepared by reacting methanol with hydrogen chloride. It is then subjected to an extractive distillation with water as extractant, resulting in chloromethane as top product. In the next step, the dimethyl ether is removed by distillation and, in another step, the extraction water is separated from the methanol which is still present.

  • Patent number: 4964783
Abstract: An arrangement for emptying a liquid collection tank in household appliances that use water such as washing machines or dish washers. A centrifugal pump is provided with a housing and a floating impeller. An axial suction connection with a tubular connector extends out of the liquid collection tank which is provided on the appliance. The liquid conveyed by the pump is diverted by a radial delivery connection on the housing. A recirculation channel is connected between one end of the radial delivery connection and the suction connection of the pump, for the purpose of diverting liquid that is conducted into the vicinity of the suction connection and empties into the tubular connector. This recirculation channel has a cross-section corresponding to the delivery connection and the cross-section of the suction connection.

  • Patent number: 4381048
Abstract: An electric motor with automatically acting brake, which possesses a brake element including an armature plate and displaceable on the rotor shaft against a helical spring, and released by the magnetic field of the rotor. The brake element axially guides a disc possessing guide grooves situated between it and the armature plate. The inclined planes of the disc are facing towards the rotor and extending around the rotor shaft in the form of annular segments are disposed axially symmetrically on this disc, which are pressed by a prestressed spring bearing against the brake element onto a starting pin inserted into the rotor shaft.
