  • Patent number: 5000226
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit assembly comprising a block-shaped mount adapted to be equipped with aligned rows of electromagnetically operated fluid power valve-like components, said assembly having internal connection ducts, which on the one hand communicate with the components and the on the other with ducts of a manifold mounted on one of the two end faces of the mount. The block-shaped mount is adapted to be fitted with components on two opposite side faces and there is an electronic circuit board running generally parallel to the direction of the rows of components at a right angle to the side faces of the mount fitted with the components. For making a direct electrical connection between the electronic circuit board and the components gripping terminals are placed on the surface of the electronic circuit board facing towards the block-shaped mount for cooperation with the contact plugs on the components.

  • Patent number: 4544130
Abstract: The essential part of an adjustable choke for compressed air and other fluids is made up of two relatively turning disks of which one has a calibrated channel in it running round the axis of the disks. By relative turning of the disks the fluid is caused to flow along different lengths of the channel in keeping with the desired choking action. The two disks are mounted within a housing, with a spring keeping them pressed together. The housing has a bell-like cover in which one of the disks is keyed and sealed at the disk's outer edge with the spring between it and the top of the cover in a chamber. The other disk is mounted on a base of the housing. There is a central pillar in the housing that joins the cover to the base and contains a duct by which is supplied into the chamber through a hole in the one disk, into the channel, through the other disk and then out through the base of the housing. The cover may be turned for turning the one disk in relation to the other.

  • Patent number: 4526827
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and apparatus for manufacturing adapter blocks with channels and making a mold system for producing the blocks. The adapter blocks have channels in at least one surface and connection openings running through the thickness of the blocks. For forming the connection openings the mold has anchoring pins and it is designed for producing more than one adapter block at a time. The casting material is supplied into the mold from below and along one long side thereof. Gasket plates with nipples are placed on the connection side or sides, such nipples being received in conical connection openings.

  • Patent number: 4520061
Abstract: An adapter block having fluid channels is made up of at least two parts bonded together. At least one of the parts is made up of an integral skin foam material, more specially polyurethane. A foam-molded core of this material is covered over by an integrally molded, unfoamed skin. At the faces that are to be bonded the skin is first machined away by a roughening tool. A mold for producing the adapter block is made up of two mold end parts with hollows to take up mold pins so that mold pins or stoppers may be put therein. The mold end part opposite to the end part with the pins is made of an elastically soft material. The mold pins may have concave end faces.

  • Patent number: 4507345
Abstract: An adapter block having connection openings provided in and extending normal to a surface thereof is produced by a process which includes the steps of foaming a resin compound such as a polyurethane in a mold cavity which has a shape complementary to the adapter block, the resulting component having an integral skin on the exterior surfaces thereof; then allowing the component to harden; then machining the integral skin off the mentioned surface and a surface on the opposite side of the component; and then applying an adhesive to and placing further components against the machined surfaces so that the further components become secured to the first-mentioned component.

  • Patent number: 4477404
Abstract: The process is used for producing grooved plates for adjustable chokes, such plates having a choke groove in one side whose change in cross-section along the length of the groove has to be very true, that is to say, keep to very tight size limits. For producing such grooved choke plates of synthetic resin to accurate size in a mold, the first step is cutting an undersize groove in a plate workpiece to make a positive pattern. The plate workpiece is then placed in a choke housing and the flow properties of the choke are measured. Thereafter, further machining of the plate workpiece is undertaken on the basis of the difference between the desired and the actual choke properties of the plate, and at the same time taking into account shrinkage of the synthetic resin on cooling down and becoming solid in an injection mold which is to be later produced as a negative pattern from the positive pattern.

  • Patent number: 4436434
Abstract: A pneumatic timer has a bellows with a space inside it joined up with the outside atmosphere by way of an adjustable choke. For starting a timing operation, the bellows is compressed by a pneumatic actuator which is then automatically moved back so that the bellows' speed of motion back into its starting position is controlled by the choke adjustment. The end position of stretching of the bellows is sensed by a sensing unit. This sensing unit may furthermore be moved for adjustment in the axial direction of the bellows.
