  • Publication number: 20230008805
Abstract: The invention relates to a pre-filled injection device with a non-removable cartridge embedded in the housing structure and wherein the piston rod drive mechanism comprises a threaded piston rod which is moved helically in a nut secured to the housing structure. During assembly of the injection device it is possible to eliminate the air-gap between the plunger in the cartridge and the piston rod means by moving the nut element for the drive mechanism axially during assembly. In an alternative solution, the piston rod comprises a telescopic element which can slide axially in relation to the piston rod to obtain the zero position.

  • Patent number: 9533106
Abstract: The present invention relates to an automatic torsion spring based injection device having a dial-up/dial-down mechanism by which a dose can be set by rotating a dose setting member in a first direction and which dose size can be reduced by rotating the same dose setting member in a second and opposite direction. The dial-up/dial-down mechanism operates a torsion spring which is strained when setting a dose and unstained when rotating the dose setting element in the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20130267895
Abstract: The invention relates to a medical drug delivery apparatus which comprises a cartridge (1) being closed at one end by a flexible membrane (2) and at the opposite end by a movable piston (10). The movable piston rod (19) is moved forward by a piston rod (20). In order to distribute the force from the piston rod (20) to the movable piston (10) a piston rod foot (30) is provided sandwiched between the piston rod (29) and the movable piston (10) The piston rod foot (30) provided between the piston rod (20) and the movable piston (10) has a plurality of arms (34) extending in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal axis (X) of the cartridge (1) and which arms (34) engages the inner wall (4) of the cartridge (1) thereby obtaining geometric guidance or generating a force of friction between the piston rod foot (30) and the inner wall (4) of the cartridge (1).

  • Patent number: 6211949
Abstract: A method of scanning a plurality of images that arranges a portion of an image medium, in a position with a reference mark roughly aligned. The portion of the image medium is scanned to determine the location of the reference mark. The entire image is then scanned immediately after scanning only the portion with the reference mark. A second image is positioned with a reference mark roughly aligned on a scanner. The portion of the second image that has the second reference mark is scanned to determine the location of the second reference mark. The second image medium is repositioned so that the reference mark is placed accurately in the same position of the scanner which was occupied by the first reference mark. The entire second image is then scanned immediately after repositioning the second image medium. The images, and corresponding reference marks, may be recorded in different image media, or in the same medium, such as a single sheet of film.

  • Patent number: 5002250
Abstract: An apparatus for scanning a transparent platen including a relatively rigid plate of transparent material. In use, an original document sheet from which data are to be acquired by examination of the document through the plate is retained against the bottom side of the rigid plate of transparent material, by suction, which is applied to the interface between the original document sheet and the plate about the perimeter of the original document sheet, near the outer the edge of the relatively rigid plate. Alternatively, the original may be placed on an exchangeable, elastic support plate of transparent material retained to the relatively rigid plate by suction. Since the support plate is removable, it can be mounted on a light board, thus allowing a digitizer to determine the area to be scanned. The support plate is preferably rather thin so that it can sealingly abut originals of varying thickness.

  • Patent number: 4941056
Abstract: A method for obtaining digital data from an original, whereby the original is scanned in longitudinally successive, transversally extending strips by a semiconductor camera comprising a plurality of semiconductor elements arranged in series. The semiconductor camera is guided across the original or across a glass plate covering the original, in a transversely arranged, longitudinally displaceable portal-shaped supporting device. Distance between the original and the camera is maintained by moving the camera directly across the original or the glass plate covering the original, respectively. This method allows an exact adjustment of the distance between the camera and the original, although the intermediate glass plate may not be quite planar.
