  • Patent number: 8790142
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a plug-type connector, comprising a contact carrier element (10), wherein a contact element (16) for receiving a conductor (12) of a cable is arranged in the contact carrier element (10), wherein the contact element (16) is fixed in the contact carrier element (10), wherein, in the event of a force being exerted on the contact element (16) which is greater than the holding force of the fixing, the fixing can be released and the contact element (16) becomes movably mounted in the contact carrier element (10).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2012
Date of Patent: July 29, 2014
Assignee: Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Detlef Nehm, Thomas Führer, Hans-Hilmar Schulte
  • Patent number: 8487183
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact unit and particularly a solder pin, and a method for producing a contact unit, comprising a body having a metal core and a tin layer surrounding the metal core. The tin layer is thereby designed as a duplex layer, and comprises a radially inner layer overlay of matte tin and a radially outer layer overlay of glossy tin.

  • Patent number: 7942689
Abstract: An electrical connector assembly for forming insulation displacement connections with conductors in small wires includes a wire carrier and a base. Pierce points on the base are slid along opposed walls in a slot in the carrier to align small tips on the ends of the pierce points to form electrical connections with a conductor in a wire in the carrier. The connections are located inwardly of the slot walls.

  • Patent number: 7354319
Abstract: An electrical terminal includes an insulating housing, a conductor bar, strain-relief clamp connections and actuating elements located in the insulating housing for opening and closing the strain-relief clamp connections. The electrical terminal enables simple manual opening of the clamping site even when the strain-relief clamp connection is designed for leads with large cross section since the actuation element is made as an actuating cam that is eccentrically supported in the insulating housing. The actuating cam can be pivoted by an actuating tool out of a first position in which the strain-relief clamp connection is closed into a second position in which the strain-relief clamp connection is opened so that an electric lead can be inserted between the conductor bar and a through opening in the strain relief clamp connection.
