  • Publication number: 20070261826
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system of energy recovery and/or cooling in at least one electrolysis cells (1) for the production of a metal, in particular aluminium, where the cell(s) is provided with one or more heat exchangers and where a heat exchange medium circulates through said heat exchanger(s) and is further directed to at least one heat conversion unit, such as an open circuit expander turbine (3). The expander turbine is connected with a compressor (2) that supplies the heat exchange medium to the cells (1, 51). In one embodiment, a second expander turbine (40) is connected to a generator (41) that can be applied for production of electricity. The system is substantially self propelled and the heat exchange medium is preferably air applied in an open circuit.

  • Patent number: 6251371
Abstract: The present invention relates to use of dichlorobenzyl alcohol for preparing a preparation for topical treatment of inflammation and the preparation for this purpose. It is known to use dichlorobenzyl alcohol (2,4-DCBA) as an agent against bacteria and fungi, i.e. as a disinfectant. By the present invention it has, however, surprisingly turned out that dichlorobenzyl alcohol, preferably 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, is also useful for treatment of inflammation. The invention also relates to a preparation containing dichlorobenzyl alcohol, preferably 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol, for topical treatment of inflammation, which can be applied onto skin or mucosa in the form of an ointment, a cream, a gel or a solution. Thus, the preparation has turned out to be effective against a variety of inflammatory conditions including skin diseases, such as pruritus and psoriasis, insect bites and stings.

  • Patent number: 5882715
Abstract: A method of preparing an oral preparation, especially in the form of hard gelatin capsules, tablets or pellets, for use by the administration of drugs or supplementary nutrients for human beings or animals, said preparation on its outer side being provided with an enteric coating which contains or comprises a calcium salt of a polysaccharide. A moisture-resistant layer containing a protein, especially zein, can be provided between the material to be coated and the enteric coating. The enteric coating is formed in situ by spraying the liquid coating substances in a fluidized bed. The present invention also pertains to oral preparations which is prepared by the method.
