  • Patent number: 5005889
Abstract: An industrial robot gripper assembly includes a pair of spaced apart gripper arms, each of which carries a plurality of workpiece receiving devices. The gripper arms are movable toward and away from each other and at least one of the workpiece receiving devices on each of the gripper arms is movable along an arcuate path so as to bring the receiving devices into appropriate receiving positions for gripping engagement with a workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4863150
Abstract: The invention provides a device for actuating a clamping tool means by fluid pressure and for monitoring the fluid pressure, which comprises a carrier for a workpiece and the clamping tool means, a first mounting element on the carrier, a second mounting element, and means for detachably coupling the second mounting element to the first mounting element. A pressure fluid conduit system is connected to a fluid pressure generator and includes a first fluid pressure conduit in the first mounting element, a second fluid pressure conduit in the second mounting element, detachable connections between the first and second fluid pressure conduits, the detachable connection in the first fluid pressure conduit including a check valve retaining the fluid pressure in the first fluid pressure conduit when the second fluid pressure conduit is detached, and a third fluid pressure conduit connecting the first fluid pressure conduit to the clamping tool means.

  • Patent number: 4346668
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and a method of contact-free, almost continuous measurement and monitoring of the width, thickness and position of magnetic tracks on moving film strips within wide limits of the speed. The track width and track position of the magnetic tracks are measured optically and the magnetically acting track cross section is measured electromagnetically via the track volume. The measured values are together recorded, evaluated and displayed and/or used for recontrolling the casting arrangement for emitting warning signals or for stopping the coating machine.

  • Patent number: 4165809
Abstract: In a process for delivering cylindrical containers into machines for further processing, the containers slide into a feed channel under gravity in a random sequence and are transported through this channel in an upright position by the action of an intermittently operating thrust. From the feed channel, the containers are transferred in sequence to a transport carriage equipped with individual holders which are successively positioned in relation to the feed channel. When fully loaded, the transport carriage is driven into the machine for further processing.
