  • Patent number: 9061334
Abstract: A device for handling and/or transporting work rolls and/or support rolls of a roll stand, by which the work rolls and/or support rolls can be brought from the roll stand into a roll workshop by a locomotive movable on a track. In order to be able to handle and transport different rolls using just one locomotive, without complicated coupling mechanisms, at least two tracks disposed at different heights are provided, on which a roll can be moved by the locomotive, and a lifting table is available, which is intended and suitable for raising or lowering the locomotive to one of the at least two different heights in order to bring it onto the respective track.

  • Publication number: 20120174817
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (1) for handling and/or transporting work rolls (2, 3) and/or support rolls (4, 5) of a roll stand (6), by which the work rolls (2, 3) and/or support rolls (4, 5) can be brought from the roll stand (6) into a roll workshop (10) by means of a locomotive (9) movable on a track (7, 8). In order to be able to handle and transport different rolls using just one locomotive, without complicated coupling mechanisms, according to the invention at least two tracks (7, 8) disposed at different heights (h1, h2) are provided, on which a roll (2, 3, 4, 5) can be moved by means of the locomotive (9), and a lifting table (11) is available, which is intended and suitable for raising or lowering the locomotive (9) to one of the at least two different heights (h1, h2) in order to bring it onto the respective track (7, 8).

  • Patent number: 8186198
Abstract: The invention relates to a rolling installation comprising a roll stand (110) for rolling a metal strip and a suction device (120) for sucking polluted air from the immediate environment of the metal strip to be rolled. The aim of the invention is to structurally simplify the suction device. To this end, the inlet guiding region (112) is defined on one side by an inlet guiding plate (113) and the inlet suction channel (120) is connected to the inlet guiding region (112) via an opening (113-O) in the inlet guiding plate (113). The same arrangement can be applied to the discharge suction channel (124) and the discharge guiding region (114).
