  • Patent number: 4725006
Abstract: Apparatus for conveying sewage or waste water by means of a rotatable displacement pump positioned within a housing. A cutting device is positioned at a water inlet for cutting solid materials that are part of the waste water to reduce their size in order for the materials to be able to pass through the pump. The pump is an eccentric worm-gear pump and is driven by a motor drive shaft that also drives the rotatable portion of the cutting device. The apparatus has a compact design and provides a high suction capacity, and a conveying capability that is independent of the supply resistance, so that a small diameter pump outlet pipe can be provided for the sewage.

  • Patent number: 4279055
Abstract: A device for removing volatile noxious liquids from photographic film has a film passage with an inlet and an outlet. Inwardly adjacent the film passage the opposite surfaces of the passage have recesses which are connected to a suction source; the inlet is slightly larger than the film so that the suction can act already on the film before the same enters the inlet, so that vapors forming outside the inlet are aspirated by the suction. A portion of the adhering liquid is also removed by this suction. Subsequently the device has in these surfaces two additional recesses which are also connected to a suction source, to remove additional liquid.

  • Patent number: 4050356
Abstract: An apparatus for the control of a fluid medium incorporating a fluid medium actuated switching element which can be reversed between two switching positions by means of two actuation elements working in the opposite sense. The actuation line or conduit of each actuation element is controlled by a normally closed shutoff valve, each actuation element is connected at its actuation line between the shutoff valve and a throttle location.

  • Patent number: 4019544
Abstract: In forming a mat, a continuous length of wire is fed between a winding plate and a pair of laterally spaced parallel spindles located closely above the plate. The winding plate is adjustable relative to the spindles so that the wire forming the mat can be held gently between the spindles and the plate. A feed member is pivotally mounted for supplying the wire in a continuous alternating manner first to one spindle and then to the other. Each spindle has a helically formed wire guide followed by a screw thread. The wire fed to the spindles is directed into the screw threads by the wire guide. The spindles are rotated in opposite directions to obtain the desired feeding action. The mat is built up from a plurality of juxtaposed wire sections connected at their opposite ends by return bends. Welding members are movably positionable relative to the mat being formed to provide welding of the wire sections together on both sides of the mat.
