  • Patent number: 4394753
Abstract: An integrated memory module has operating functions which are selectable even after the module has been built-in. A significant expansion of the possibilities of use of the memory module is achieved by the introduction of an inscribable and readable mode register for the acceptance of control information for defining the desired operating function, by the expansion of the address inputs into bidirectional module interfaces, and by the subdivision of the memory medium which is constructed as a matrix into n areas of identical size which are simultaneously addressable with the most significant portion of the column address. An internal address counter also permits accesses with consecutive column addresses given constant row address.

  • Patent number: 4005389
Abstract: An arrangement for reducing the access time (increasing the hit rate) by the intermediate storage of a plurality of items of data read out from a working store in a storage system with a working store which is divided into storage modules employs the division of each working store module into a plurality of storage zones which can be read out independently of one another. Instead of providing a common data input and output register for the entire storage module, each storage zone is assigned its own read-out data register and the entire storage module is assigned a common data write-in register.
