  • Patent number: 10408302
Abstract: A roller chain includes pins, bushings, rollers, inner plates and outer plates. Two bushings are connected to one another in each case by way of at least two inner plates to form a chain link. Two consecutive chain links are articulately connected to one another in each case by way of each bushing being seated on a pin projecting beyond both ends of the bushing. At least one combination, which consist of two mutually frictionally engaged components—the pin and bushing on the one hand, the bushing and roller on the other hand,—include one component consisting of austenitic stainless steel with an S-phase formed at least on the surface by way of nitriding at a temperature between about 400° C. and 500° C., and another component consisting of a stainless ferritic steel, which at least on the surface, is nitrided at a temperature between about 1000° C. and 1200° C.

  • Publication number: 20110251005
Abstract: A roller chain comprising pins, bushes, rollers, inner fishplates and outer fishplates. Two bushes are connected to each other by at least two inner fishplates and form a chain link. A roller surrounding each bush is mounted rotatably on its respective bush. Adjacent chain links are connected to each other in an articulated manner as a result of each bush being disposed on a pin protruding beyond both ends of the bush, and two pins surrounded by two successive chain links are connected at least by two outer fishplates. At least a part of the bushes comprises a copper alloy. The bushes are produced in a massive forming process.

  • Patent number: 6383315
Abstract: A steel profile clamp is used to join flanged component parts. The profile clamp has at least partially conical side walls that are bent radially inwardly. The profile clamp has welding joints to maintain the shape of the clamp. The steel is martensitic for increased load-carrying capacity of the joint. The steel material, in an ambient temperature range of 20° C. to 750° C., has a coefficient of thermal expansion that is at least 0.3×10−6 m/m° C. lower than that of the coefficient of thermal expansion of a ferritic casting material. The method for manufacturing the profile clamp includes prequenching and tempering the material of the profile clamp when it is in the form of a strip. After forming and welding the profile clamp, the weld is subject to induction tempering.
