  • Patent number: 11675937
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for simulation-based analysis and/or optimization of a motor vehicle, preferably having the following working steps: simulating (SIOI) a driving operation of the motor vehicle (I) on the basis of a model (M) with at least one manipulated variable for acquiring values of at least one simulated variable which is suitable for characterizing an overall vehicle behaviour, in particular a driving capability, of the motor vehicle (I), wherein the model has at least one partial model, in particular a torque model, and wherein the at least one partial model is based on a function and preferably characterizes the operation of at least one component, in particular of an internal combustion engine of the motor vehicle (I); and—outputting (S I03) the values of the at least one simulated variable.

  • Patent number: 11203962
Abstract: A method for generating a model ensemble that estimates at least one output variable of a physical process as a function of at least one input variable, the model ensemble being formed from a sum of model outputs from a plurality of models that have been weighted with a weighting factor.

  • Patent number: 5631411
Abstract: The invention presented herein makes it possible to construct and operate an engine monitoring apparatus that calculates the engine speed, the engine load and/or engine monitoring quantities basically only from the measurement of an angular velocity curve at the gear rim of an internal combustion engine (optionally, from a plurality of angular velocity curves). The basis is thus simultaneously created for monitoring all other measured quantities within narrow limits that are dependent on load and speed. The invention can also be utilized for control purposes or for measuring power.

  • Patent number: 5157965
Abstract: For single-cylinder evaluation of an internal combustion engine, the respective angular velocity is measured--for respectively defined crank angle positions--at at least one component part of the internal combustion engine, the respective overall moment of inertia is calculated from the design data of the internal combustion engine and, while operating the overall moment of inertia with the angular velocity, the respective overall energy of the internal combustion engine is calculated. A single-cylinder evaluation can then be implemented from the comparison of these overall energies in cylinder-associated crank angle ranges.
