  • Patent number: 10220690
Abstract: A roof for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The roof has a cover element which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a closed position and at least one open position and a wind deflector which is arranged on a front edge of the roof opening and which can be moved between a retracted position and at least one extended position. The cover element is wider than the wind deflector. At least one wind deflecting element is arranged on both sides outside the wind deflector. In an extended position, the respective wind deflecting element can be exposed in the manner of an ascending ramp or inclined plane towards the rear in the direction of the cover element arranged in the open position such that lateral, outer partial regions of the cover element are covered towards the front by the respective wind deflecting elements.

  • Patent number: 7322635
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cover device for a vehicle top storage compartment of a convertible vehicle. A cover can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position. Two side flaps are arranged on sides of the cover that lie opposite each other transversely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, which side flaps can be pivoted between a passive position, in which they open lateral passage openings, and an active position, in which they close the passage openings. A particularly inexpensive construction is achieved by the fact that the side flaps are mounted on the cover in each case via a bearing arrangement which makes it possible to lower the particular side flap relative to the cover and to pivot the side flap under the cover. A driving device provided for adjusting the side flaps is designed exclusively for the pivoting adjustment about the flap axis, which is defined by the sleeve and the bolt.

  • Patent number: 5810424
Abstract: A two-seat convertible has wind deflecting bodies which are disposed behind the headrests of the vehicle seats and rest on the vehicle body top rear side and project upwards to approximately the height of the upper edge of the respective headrest. The headrests are constructed in the shape of a hood which tapers toward the rear and is approximately parabolic with respect to the outer contour, in which case the contour of a headrest is situated within the flow-around area of the surface of the assigned wind deflecting body which projects upwards in the front. Each wind deflecting body can be detachably fastened on the vehicle body.
