  • Patent number: 7114422
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a product from strip tape starting from a broad web of material includes the step of separating the web into individual strips with a vacuum roll, conveying each strip in a vacuum conveyor channel, turning the strips on their way to the channel or in the channel by about 90°, leading the strips together at the end of the channel one upon the other and thereafter processing the strips to form the final product.

  • Publication number: 20060013864
Abstract: Planiform transmucosal pharmaceutical administration forms are disclosed, comprising a solid solution of the active ingredient in a phosphatidyl fraction, or a mixture of said phosphatidyl fraction with a copolymer of maleic acid and an alkyl vinyl ether. The administration forms are characterised by a low solubility in the buccal cavity, which gives a rapid and constant active ingredient release over an extended period. The above are particularly suitable for the treatment of the abuse of and dependence on addictive drugs.

  • Patent number: 6770300
Abstract: The invention relates to porous, rapidly disintegrating, active substance-containing pellets based on chitosan or a basic chitosan derivative, manufactured according to a dripping method wherein an aqueous solution or dispersion of chitosan or a basic chitosan derivative, one or more active substances, possibly further active substances and an acid is dripped into a cooling liquid having a temperature of maximally −5° C., thereby causing solidification of the solution or dispersion in the form of droplets, and wherein the solidified droplets or pellets are isolated and dried. The invention further relates to the use of these pellets in the manufacture of medicaments or diagnostic agents.

  • Patent number: 6290989
Abstract: The present invention describes a device for the controlled release of active compounds in the gastrointestinal tract with delayed pyloric passage, having a component expandable on contact with gastric juice, which is surrounded by a polymer covering which is permeable to gastric juice and active compounds. The device contains at least one active compound which is present in a multiparticulate preparation which releases the active compound into the gastric juice with a delay. Compared with conventional pharmaceutical forms with delayed pyloric passage, the release of active compound from a device according to the invention can be better controlled; likewise the device can be easily rolled or folded and can be introduced into capsules without problems.
