  • Patent number: 4541463
Abstract: The invention relates to a filler for metering liquid products, into containers. The filler includes a vessel which is provided with a number of filling pipes communicating with the inside of the vessel and projecting from the bottom of the vessel, and which is provided with a feed pipe both ends of which open inside the vessel. In the feed pipe a pump is arranged which pumps product from the vessel to the outlet opening of the feed pipe which can be joined successively with the filling pipes as a function of the rotation of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 4411370
Abstract: An opening arrangement for cans which are made of sheet steel. The opening arrangement has two preferably U-shaped punched lines provided in the lid of the can. The punched lines wholly penetrate the can lid (2) and form two opposing tongues, which are separated by a narrow intermediate portion of the can lid. The punched out tongues as well as the intermediate portion are jointly covered by an inner cover strip fixed to the inside of the can lid which bridges over and seals the punched lines forming the tongues. On opening the can the two tongues are turned in unison, the intermediate portion acting as an axis of rotation, so that the tongues are placed at an angle and an opening in the lid is established.

  • Patent number: 4410128
Abstract: A tear-up opening arrangement for a packing container which is manufactured from a plane packing material web by folding is disclosed. The packing material is pierced through along a cut line which is situated alongside or in the vicinity of a base line of a sealing fin projecting from the packing container. The cut line is covered along the inside of the packing container by a thin, molecular-oriented plastic strip whose direction of orientation coincides with the extension of the cut line. The cut line has two end portions extending on either side of the apex of a triangular lug of the container and a center portion extending parallel to, but at a distance from, a line through the apex and the end portions.

  • Patent number: 4391385
Abstract: The invention relates to a closing arrangements on cans and similar containers of the type which has at least one plane end wall of sheet metal with a hole punched out in the end wall. The cut surface of the said punched-out hole may be sealed effectively by a closing arrangement which is designed as a tubular plastic body with flanges projecting from the plastic body. The flanges embrace the edge zone of the hole when the closing arrangement is pressed into the hole, at the same time as the said cut edge of the end wall is pressed so as to form a seal against, or "is embedded in," the outside of the tubular plastic body.

  • Patent number: 4371364
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a printed, pre-creased, plastic-coated packing material web provided with opening arrangements. The method includes providing a first wider web of paper or cardboard, whose width is a multiple of the desired packing material webs, with impressed crease line patterns and opening arrangements, whereupon the paper or cardboard web is covered with plastics. The wider web so treated is then cut into a number of partial webs, each partial web is of a width corresponding to the width of a complete crease line pattern. The partial webs are rolled up into large rolls intended for transport which in a separate printing operation are provided with text and decoration and are rolled up into magazine rolls of packing material of the desired size.

  • Patent number: 4367842
Abstract: Cushion-shaped packing containers made of a liquid-tight tube which is sealed together at both ends by transverse sealing fins, cannot be used for pressurized contents, because the flexible plastic material of which the containers are made cannot be joined with sufficient strength in the sealing fins.A strengthening element for the packing containers, and in particular for their sealing fins, is disclosed. The sealing fins are strengthened by an external strengthening band which joins the sealing fins. At the same time the fins are held folded down against the outside of the container so that the internal pressure in the container no longer acts upon the material layers sealed together in the sealing fin in a direction away from each other, but is transmitted instead to the seal between the respective fin and the strengthening band which seal can readily be given the required strength. The invention also relates to a method for the manufacture of the packing containers described.

  • Patent number: 4364220
Abstract: The invention relates to a sheet metal container adapted so that it can withstand an internal pressure. The container comprises two combined shell-shaped cavities, compression-moulded from the same web which cavities are brought together as the web is doubled along pre-impressed folding lines in two steps, namely a first step wherein the longitudinal edges of the web are joined together to form a tube of an elongated, substantially triangular cross-section, and a second step when the tube formed, after the contents have been introduced, is pressed flat and is sealed around the shell-shaped cavities. Finally the web is cut or punched around the hollow bodies formed by the shell-shaped portions to form a flange, closed in itself, which flange is folded down or beaded.

  • Patent number: 4233320
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the processing, sterilization and packaging of a food product starting from a raw material basically consisting of Krill, in order to obtain a protein rich food product with good taste, consistency, structure, preparing abilities and keeping properties. Said method includes the steps of breaking down the whole Krill into small particles, sterilization of the broken down Krill, cooling and grinding the sterilized product into liquid or semi-liquid form and packaging the liquid substance under aseptic conditions, whereby the liquid substance is solidified in the aseptic packages.

  • Patent number: 4126238
Abstract: The invention relates to packing containers formed from shrinkable plastics material of the type in which a plastics blank is shrunk onto a mold to produce a form having a bottleneck shape. The portion so given bottleneck shape has longitudinal and relatively parallel surface pleats. The plastics material so used has a relatively thick base layer of shrinkable foamed plastics material and an outer layer of homogeneous, relatively non-shrinkable plastics material.

  • Patent number: 4109814
Abstract: A container closure with a screw cap that after the opening of the container remains attached to the same, by means of a hinge. A sealing ring is joined to the lower end of the cap and rotatably connected to the container, but impossible to remove, as the inner diameter of the ring is smaller than the outer diameter of a bulge on the container. Between the cap and the sealing ring is a breakable connection and an unbreakable part serving as the hinge. When the cap is unscrewed the sealing ring is after a while obstructed by the bulge, which causes the breakable connection to break, whereafter the unscrewed cap can be swung aside around the hinge so that the contents of the container can be freely poured out.
