Abstract: The invention relates to a method for monitoring a construction site, wherein several devices are used on the construction site and on each device at least one sensor is provided. A device list is created for each construction site to be monitored, wherein the several devices that are used on the respective construction site to be monitored are assigned to the device list of the construction site. Furthermore, for each device of the device list assignment is made as to which of the sensors provided on the device are assigned to the device list. To obtain the data from the sensors of the devices of the device list a direct or indirect communication connection is established with the devices of the device list. Finally, the data thus obtained from the sensors of the devices of the device list are stored in a specific, shared storage location. According to the invention it is provided that during the production of the columnar structure a rotating motion and a feeding motion of the foundation engineering tool are recorded over time and forwarded to an evaluation unit, in that by means of a sensor means at least one further processing parameter is recorded over time during the production of the columnar structure in the ground and is forwarded to the evaluation unit and in that by the evaluation unit a three-dimensional model of the columnar structure is produced and displayed.

According to the invention provision is made in that in the control and evaluation unit a ground profile to be expected is entered, which indicates a layer structure of the ground with ground layers of different ground composition, and in that by the control and evaluation unit the detected, at least one operating variable is set in correlation with the stated ground profile in order to establish, at which working depth a transition between ground layers of different ground composition is present.
