  • Publication number: 20110064955
Abstract: In a process for continuously manufacturing a flexible laminate for food packagings at least one plastic film and at least one further plastic film, metal foil or paper as laminate layers are continuously coated with an adhesive and brought together to form a laminate. Subsequently, the laminate is continuously irradiated in line in a microwave irradiation station in order to cure the adhesive. With the process according to the invention the curing time is significantly reduced in comparison to the standard thermal energy used nowadays and provided by a curing room warmed at 40-45° C.

  • Publication number: 20090317708
Abstract: Plastics composite foil for the sheathing of lithium-ion-polymer batteries and lithium-polymer batteries, comprising, arranged in mutual superposition, the following layers: a) a base foil composed of plastic b) a metal foil and c) a functional plastics layer, where at least one metal protective layer applied via a physical deposition process, such as vapour deposition processes or sputtering, an example being a chromium layer, has been arranged with thickness of from 0.1 to 1000 nm (nanometres) on the layer b), the metal foil, at least in the direction of the layer c), and/or on the layer c), the functional plastics layer, in the direction of the layer b), the metal foil, and/or in the functional plastics layer.

  • Publication number: 20060257648
Abstract: A cold-workable laminate for the production of containers for packaging of pharmaceutical and medical technical products and diagnostic agents has an aluminium film with a biaxially stretched plastic film on one side as an outer layer, and a sealing layer arranged on the second side. The aluminium film is connected with the biaxially stretched plastic film by extrusion laminating or the biaxially stretched plastic film is extrusion-coated with a polyolefin and lacquer-laminated to the aluminium film. The laminate has at least 15% higher cold-working capacity than laminates of the prior art and has improved delamination resistance.

  • Patent number: 6352781
Abstract: A composite plastic film comprises a plastic film which is coated, as desired at least on one side, with ceramic material deposited using a vacuum thin layer deposition process and a plastic layer deposited by extrusion coating on the plastic film or on the ceramic layer which may be present, such that the ceramic layer is situated between the plastic film and the plastic layer deposited by extrusion coating. In order to improve the strength of bonding, a metal layer of chromium, aluminum, nickel, titanium, iron, molybdenum or an alloy made up from at least two of these metals is provided, as an aid to bonding, between the plastic film or on the ceramic layer which may be present and the plastic layer deposited by extrusion coating. A thin metal layer deposited in such an amount that it has a thickness of approximately 0.1 to 0.5 nm corresponding to a monatomic coverage is sufficient for this purpose.
