    Abstract: An inventive flanged graft for end-to-side anastomosis includes a graft with bifurcated flanges. The bifurcated flanges may be symmetrical or asymmetrical relative to one another. The type and size of flange to be used is determined by various factors such as identity of the receiving artery, position of the arteriotomy on the receiving artery, and lumenal diameter of the graft. The graft is preferably anastomosed to the receiving artery using continuous sutures to join the arteriotomy to the peripheral edges of the bifucated flanges. In an alternate embodiment, the inventive bypass graft includes a flared skirt which extends circumferentially about the tubular graft member. The flared skirt has an elliptical shape and is offset from a central longitudinal axis of the graft member.

    Abstract: A photosensitive tube of the kind having a photoconductive target formed of a material such as lead monoxide exhibits an effect generally termed lag when the tube operates at very low light levels. Lag is undesirable and can be minimized by providing a low light level bias which illuminates the rear of the target. The present invention provides light bias in the form of small light emitting diodes which are placed externally of the evacuated envelope of the tube in localized recesses adjacent to a tubular anode electrode at a point where the anode diameter changes. In this way the light emitting diodes can be accommodated within the normal overall envelope of the tube and in a manner which conveniently permits an even diffused illumination of the target. This arrangement is particularly applicable to small diameter tubes to which conventional light bias cannot readily be applied.

    Abstract: The invention relates to light biassed camera tube arrangements of the kind in which the light bias source within the overall outline of the tube envelope has one terminal connected to a heater pin in order to provide a source of power. The other terminal of the light bias source is connected to a lead extending to a terminal carried by a protecive end base cap for the tube and a removable disc is provided to fit between the base of the tube and a valve base into which the tube is plugged, the removable disc bearing circuitry and terminals provided to contact selected ones of the terminals carried by the protective end base cap so that the nature of the light bias provided may be selected.

    Abstract: A separate mesh vidicon in which in order to reduce voltage pick-up from the scanning field by the conductor system which makes connection to the mesh and at the same time provide a tube which is relatively insensitive to rotation about its axis when positioned within its scanning yoke, connection to the mesh is made within the area occupied in operation, by the scanning field, by a cylindrical conductor surrounding the usually provided cylindrical anode, the remainder of the connection path being provided by a number of conductors arranged symmetrically about the axis of the tube, and an external removable link is provided bridging between the mesh terminal pin and the anode terminal so that the tube may be operated at will as a separate or integral mesh tube.

    Abstract: A photo-conductive target pick-up tube has a vacuum sealed envelope housing a tubular anode electrode on the gun cathode side of the target. The anode electrode is roughened on its inner surface to provide light scattering from a lamp which is mounted in a cavity protruding into the envelope but which cavity is sealed from the vacuum inside the envelope. The lamp is mounted on the longitudinal axis of the axis so as to provide an artificial dark current which tends to reduce build-up and decay lag at low light level operating conditions.
