  • Patent number: 4125378
Abstract: The mantle of a vibratory spiral reactor is filled with powdery material for insulation which acquires an electrostatic charge during vibration, thereby providing air spaces and resisting compaction during operation of the reactor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 29, 1977
Date of Patent: November 14, 1978
    Assignee: Varta Batterie Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Hans von Dohren
  • Patent number: 4083810
Abstract: Catalytic material in powder form flows downwardly along a vibratory spiral conveyor chute, while gas flows counter to the powder, preferably in excess. Mixing ramp arrangements may be provided in the chute.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 22, 1976
Date of Patent: April 11, 1978
    Assignee: Varta Batterie Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 4035151
Abstract: Powdery material flows downwardly along a vibratory spiral conveyor chute, while gas flows counter to the powder, preferably in excess. Mixing ramp arrangements are provided in the chute. These involve inclined ramp surfaces dividing the powder stream into two layers, and provisions for causing the initially uppermost layer to tumble down onto the chute bottom while the initially lowermost layer is still supported on its ramp. The latter then drops down, too, and now becomes the uppermost layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 28, 1975
Date of Patent: July 12, 1977
    Assignee: Varta Batterie Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Thomas Czerny, Hans VON Dohren, Lothar Losch, August Winsel, Kurt Ziegler, deceased
