  • Patent number: 5061415
Abstract: Sunk spots in critical regions of a plastics injection moulded part are prevented by localized heating of the marginal zone of the part in the course of the production cycle by means of a high frequency electromagnetic field and application of a pressure in this region.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 9, 1990
Date of Patent: October 29, 1991
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Hans-Werner Depcik
  • Patent number: 4959406
Abstract: Plastic containing small amounts of titanium dioxide and, if appropriate, carbon black and an additive which reduces the tracking resistance, for the production of laser-writable mouldings.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 6, 1989
Date of Patent: September 25, 1990
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Eckard Foltin, Hans-Werner Depcik, Karl Huff, Alfred Pischtschan, Mehmet C. Yesildag, Reiner Erkelenz
  • Patent number: 4822973
Abstract: An identification mark which remains permanently readable is applied by means of a laser beam through a lightwave window of plastics material to a plastics layer situated behind that window.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 28, 1987
Date of Patent: April 18, 1989
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Karsten Fahner, Hans-Werner Depcik
  • Patent number: 4812247
Abstract: By means of a piston-like movement, solid fillings, for example of mineral fibers or steel wool, introduced in the pressureless zone of a screw are incorporated in the molten plastic and the resulting mixture formed in a mold. The finished molding contains numerous fillings greater than 2 mm in length which inter alia contribute significantly towards improving its strength.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 1986
Date of Patent: March 14, 1989
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Karsten Fahner, Friedrich Johannaber, Hans-Werner Depcik, Axel Kaminski, Rudiger Van Hooren
  • Patent number: 4780255
Abstract: A mass is cooled systematically under the influence of an electrical or mechanical alternating field to obtain a quasi dielectric isotropic structure of a synthetic resin part.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 17, 1986
Date of Patent: October 25, 1988
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans-Werner Depcik, Hans G. Fitzky, Helmut Schmid, Ulrich Schutz
  • Patent number: 4594204
Abstract: The present invention reduces within a short period of time the internal stresses in plastics bottles by annealing with infra-red radiation, in particular by specifically exposing critical points to radiation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 1984
Date of Patent: June 10, 1986
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Klaus Heidenreich, Hans-Werner Depcik, Hans Radojewski
  • Patent number: 4511184
Abstract: A unitary wheel is injection molded from reinforced thermoplastic material in such a manner that the melt streams of material meet and coalesce in the spokes of the wheel. This wheel has improved strength since the melt streams do not meet and coalesce in the rim portion thereby making the rim impact resistant. Coalescence of the melt streams in the spokes of the wheel is accomplished by introducing the streams into certain of the spokes while separating those spokes from each other by an odd number of intermediary spokes to which no material is directly injected.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 17, 1982
Date of Patent: April 16, 1985
    Assignee: Bayer Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Dieter Schauf, Klaus Protoschill, Karl Oberbach, Hans-Werner Depcik
