  • Patent number: 7315754
Abstract: An electrode belt for impedance tomography shall be improved such that it has a simple design and makes possible good contacting of the electrodes (2) with the body of the test subject to be examined. The electrode belt (1) has at least 16 electrodes (2) on an electrode holder or belt material (3), which is elastic at least in some sections. The belt formed of one or more belt material sections completely surrounds a test subject to be examined on the circumference of the body. Electrode feed lines (63) extend along the electrode holder (3). The electrode feed lines and are connected to a feed line (6) at least at one feed point (4) on the electrode holder (3).

  • Patent number: 7286863
Abstract: A device is provided for putting an electrode carrier on a recumbent patient. The device includes a first lifting cushion that supports the shoulder region and the head of the patient at the same time and into which a pressurized medium can be admitted. A second lifting cushion is provided that supports the lumbar region and into which pressurized medium can be admitted. A spacer is provided fixing the lifting cushions in relation to one another in the chest region.

  • Patent number: 6378517
Abstract: A coupling between a breathing tube system is provided with an inner tube and an outer tube. A first connection part is provided with a first connection piece for the outer tube and with a first connection for the inner tube. The first connection is arranged eccentrically in the first connection piece. A second connection part is provided with a second connection piece, which is in flow connection with the first connection piece. The second connection part provides a second connection, which is arranged concentrically in the second connection piece and which is connected to the first connection in terms of flow.

  • Patent number: 5065746
Abstract: The invention is directed to an expiration valve control arrangement for a ventilating apparatus. The control arrangement includes a control valve for generating a control pressure in the control chamber of an expiration valve. The control valve includes a connecting passage supplied from a control gas source via a control gas line. The connecting passage opens into an outflow chamber of the control valve and the outflow chamber has an outlet to the ambient. The control valve is configured so that the dynamic end expiratory overpressure can be compensated. For this purpose, the connection passage of the control valve includes a throttle generating an underpressure and a pressure line extends from this throttle and opens into the control chamber of the expiration valve. A closure force is applied to a closure element at the outlet of the connection passage. The closure element coacts with the throttle with the underpressure being adjusted by adjusting the closure force on the closure element.
