  • Patent number: 10980688
Abstract: The hospital bed with pivoting side rail includes a bed frame having a headboard, a footboard and a platform mounted thereon. The side rail has an upper end, a lower end, and first and second longitudinally opposed sides. The lower end of the side rail is pivotally attached to the bed frame, and the upper end of the side rail is releasably attached to the headboard and the footboard. In order to safely and easily deploy and collapse the side rail, first and second adjustable struts are provided, the struts having opposed first and second ends, such that the first ends of the first and second adjustable struts are pivotally attached to the first and second sides of the side rail, and the second ends of the first and second adjustable struts are pivotally secured to the headboard and footboard, respectively.

  • Patent number: 10743700
Abstract: The curtain rod wall mount is a fixture used in pairs to support opposing ends of a cylindrical curtain rod between opposing walls of a building or window frame. In a first embodiment, the wall mount includes a helical spring disposed between a fixed plug and a movable plug, the spring being coaxially disposed around a guide screw extending between the plugs, the spring assembly being housed in a tubular sleeve that an end of the curtain rod slides into to bear against the movable plug. A second embodiment is similar to the first, but omits the guide screw. In a third embodiment, the wall mount has a wall plate having a threaded stud extending therefrom. The tubular sleeve has a plug with an internally threaded bore in one end that engages the threaded stub, the other end being hollow to receive an end of the curtain rod.

  • Patent number: 10702086
Abstract: A curtain rod holder includes a base having opposed first and second surfaces, with the second surface being adapted for mounting against a support surface. A first semi-cylindrical shell has axially-opposed first and second ends, with the first end thereof being fixedly mounted to the first surface of the base. The first semi-cylindrical shell has first and second diametrically opposed axially-extending edges. A second semi-cylindrical shell has axially-opposed first and second ends which are respectively aligned with the first and second ends of the first semi-cylindrical shell. The second semi-cylindrical shell has first and second diametrically opposed axially-extending edges, with the first axially-extending edge of the first semi-cylindrical shell being pivotally secured to the first axially-extending edge of the second semi-cylindrical shell by hinges or the like.

  • Patent number: 10617583
Abstract: The bed with retractable side extension has a retractable shelf positioned below the mattress, the shelf being extendable from a side of the bed. The shelf has a face plate and a railing mounted on the face plate that moves outward with the shelf when the shelf is extended. A height-adjustable platform is mounted on the shelf. When the shelf is fully extended, the platform may be raised so that a top surface of the platform is level with the bed's mattress and an inner edge of the platform is adjacent the mattress. The platform is held in place by an adjustable support, which may releasably lock the platform in the raised position and can be unlocked to lower the platform back onto the shelf.

  • Patent number: 10397989
Abstract: The oven with a temperature probe measures the temperature of food being cooked within the oven to provide real time feedback for determining a status of the food being cooked, such as, for example, indications that the food is fully cooked, partially cooked or uncooked. The oven with a temperature probe is similar to a conventional oven, but with a telescopic tube which selectively extends into the cooking chamber of the oven. An upper end of the telescopic tube is mounted within an open interior of a hollow upper wall of the oven, and a lower end of the telescopic tube defines a probe tip, containing a temperature sensor for measuring an internal temperature of the food being cooked. When not in use, the telescopic tube collapses fully within the open interior of the hollow upper wall. A display indicates cooking status of the food, based on the measured temperature.

  • Publication number: 20070124291
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system, method and computer program for automatically extracting and mining relations and related entities from unstructured text. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the invention includes: extracting relations and related entities from unstructured text data, representing the extracted information into a graph, and manipulating the resulting graph to gain more insight into the information it contains. The extraction of relations and related entities is performed first by automatically inducting pattern and second by applying these induced patterns to unstructured text data. For each relation and entity, several features are extracted in order to build a graph whose nodes are entities and edges are relations.
