  • Patent number: 8937262
Abstract: The invention relates to a medium voltage switchgear assembly which comprises at least one disconnector and whose drive unit is disposed inside or outside a gas chamber according to the generic part of claim 1. In order to further develop a switchgear assembly of the generic type so as to render the same more compact and more functional, the disconnector is embodied as a three-position vacuum chamber switch.

  • Patent number: 8768525
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a medium-voltage or high-voltage switchgear comprising at least one switching device. The aim is to enable the associated switchgear to be functionally integrated with the greatest possible technical functional comfort. To this end, the switching device or the switching devices is/are respectively provided with a data and/or control interface, with the aid of which the same is/are linked to an electronic master terminal via a data and/or control line such that the switching devices can be triggered by the electronic master terminal and the control thereof can be integrated in a process, particularly an industrial process.

  • Patent number: 8462486
Abstract: The invention relates to a gas-insulated medium-voltage switchgear comprising circuit breakers, disconnectors, and earth electrodes according to the preamble of patent claim 1. The aim of the invention is to fulfill the described market-specific requirements and to improve one such gas-insulated medium-voltage switchgear. To this end, the circuit breaker region is measured in such a way that the circuit breakers, and the output-side disconnectors and earth electrodes are all arranged therein.

  • Publication number: 20110096468
Abstract: The invention relates to a medium voltage switchgear, comprising at least two switchboard sections, as according to the generic part of patent claim 1. According to the invention, a compact construction of a medium voltage switchgear with guaranteed secure insulation within the switchgear housing may be achieved, whereby, within a switchgear housing, at least one load switching field and at least one power switching field are arranged in common, or with a common opposing face and both the load switching field and the power switching field are embodied as vacuum switches.

  • Publication number: 20100181182
Abstract: An exemplary breaker is disclosed with a gas drive for low-voltage, medium-voltage and high-voltage switching devices, in which disconnection can be generated via detonation capsules. To ensure that a low number of connection and disconnection operations in relation to the total operating duration of the circuit breaker is taken into consideration in design terms, without in the process reducing safety, exemplary embodiments include a piston/cylinder arrangement with a plurality of detonation capsules for generating a limited number of connection and disconnection operations in the cylinder in each of the two cylinder subareas which are separated by the piston.

  • Publication number: 20090120773
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for quenching a fault arc in a medium-voltage and high-voltage switchgear assembly, in which at least one shorting element is connected between the phases of a three-phase distribution board. In order to allow more reliable fault arc quenching in this case, the disclosure proposes that the fault arc is detected by means of sensors and an explosive charge which acts directly on the shorting switching element fires the shorting switching element at a conical contact structure which is connected to the three-phase conductors and is configured in a complementary manner to the shorting switching element, in such a manner that the complementary contours of the shorting switching element and of the three-phase conductors result in self-locking retention in the shorting position, without any holding force.
