  • Patent number: 6481493
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat dissipating device, especially for high-performance industrial ultrasonic transducers. The aim of the invention is to produce a device that enables high-performance ultrasonic transducers to operate continuously in environments with high heat and/or high humidity, whereby heat is dissipated in an explosion-proof embodiment in a more effective manner. This is achieved by surrounding the ultrasonic transducer (1) with a closed cooling system comprising a layer (2) that absorbs vibrations, e.g. a silicon rubber layer, and a layer that dissipates heat (3), e.g. silica sand.

  • Publication number: 20020074380
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the constant maintenance of the mean gap width between a sonotrode of an ultrasonic system and a tool of an ultrasonic cutting device, designed as a counter surface, for cutting and/or welding of various types of materials such as, for example, synthetic foils, textile fabrics containing synthetic substances, by means of a cutting tool, using an adjusting device.

  • Patent number: 5532539
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the safe oscillation build-up of ultrasonic disintegrators and to a circuitry for carrying-out the method. In particular the present invention is a method and a circuitry substantially irrespective of deviations of the mechanical resonance frequency, with a start/stop generator 8 that periodically blocks the output of the h.f. generator 1 and maintains the blocking for a fixed dead time and then periodically repeats this procedure if during the scanning of a wide frequency band of the h.f. generator 1 the feedback amplitude of the piezo-disc 4 disposed at the ultrasonic transducer 3 falls below the value required for a safe oscillation build-up.
