  • Patent number: 10449966
Abstract: A method for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions of a diesel vehicle. In this context, first state variables of the diesel vehicle are measured with the aid of sensors of the diesel vehicle, and using an arithmetic unit, it is ascertained, as a function of the first state variables, if the nitrogen oxide emissions are exceeding a predetermined threshold, or using the arithmetic unit, it is predicted, as a function of the first state variables, if the nitrogen oxide emissions will exceed the predetermined threshold. If exceedance of the threshold is calculated or predicted, then an intervention in the current torque demand of the diesel vehicle and/or an intervention in the current transmission ratio or setting of a transmission of the diesel vehicle is ascertained by the arithmetic unit; the intervention contributing to a reduction in the nitrogen oxide emissions to a value below the threshold.

  • Patent number: 10132288
Abstract: A method is described for setting a temperature of a glow plug, in particular for igniting a fuel/air mixture in an internal combustion engine in which the temperature of the glow plug is set as a function of a resistance of the glow plug with the aid of a control. To prevent temperature overshoots from occurring during the preheating phase of the glow plug, the temperature is controlled with the aid of a predictive model during a preheating phase during which an overvoltage is applied to the glow plug.

Date of Patent: November 20, 2018
    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH

  • Patent number: 9518888
Abstract: In a method for ascertaining an offset of an output signal of an evaluation circuit integrated in a sensor, the output signal is supplied to a control unit which analyzes the output signal, and a reset of the evaluation circuit for the adjustment of the output signal to a base level is performed prior to each measuring operation of the sensor, and the control unit ascertains the offset of the output signal of the evaluation circuit upon an occurrence of a start signal output by the evaluation circuit.
