  • Patent number: 7455065
Abstract: The invention proposes a household appliance, in particular a dishwasher, a washing machine or the like, having a liquid circuit and a pump which has a pump casing which comprises a heating element (3) for heating the liquid, which element is adapted, with a heat-conducting contact area (20), to the outer shape (2) of the casing with an at least partial form fit. In this case, the heating system of the household appliance according to the invention is intended to have an improved efficiency. This is achieved, according to the invention, by the contact area (20) being at least half the size of the entire outer area of the heating element.

  • Patent number: 6401733
Abstract: A dispenser for a dishwasher is proposed containing a housing 1 partially projecting in the installed condition through a door recess into the interior of the door of the automatic dishwasher and located partially within the wash area. The housing consists of two housing sections which preclude housing leaks into the interior of the door. This is achieved by providing an inner section located only partially within the interior of the door and projecting into the wash area, and an outer section located completely on the side of the wash area.

  • Patent number: 6338351
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a household dishwasher, said dishwasher being equipped with a program selection device and a combined device for adding a detergent and a clear rinse agent to the washing area. The aim of the invention is to improve the cleaning effect. To this end, the clear rinse agent is added not only once during the last wash cycle, but on several occasions at various times during the wash program. Each of these processes is characterized by an adjustable number of equal quantities or a non-adjustable number of variable quantities of a clear rinse agent. A metering device for carrying out the inventive method comprises a reservoir, a temporary storage unit and a metering chamber. Both the temporary storage unit and the metering chamber can be configured with an adjustable volume.
