The hinge can be installed in a recess of a door frame, whereby the recess receives the hinge completely when the door is closed. In this way, the hinge will be completely invisible when the door is closed, and also inaccessible from the outside. This means that the hinge offers increased resistance against break-ins as well as an improved aesthetic appearance. In order to minimize the size of the required recess, the hinge flap that is nearest to the door frame incorporates a flat-angled curved profile, while the hinge flap (3) that is nearest to the door has a profile that encloses the hinge axis (4).
