  • Patent number: 4351535
Abstract: Apparatus for providing fast hitch tractor side mounting of agricultural spray tanks including a carry-through frame adapted for relatively permanent securement to the tractor therebeneath by securement to the tractor frame and for supporting the weight of the tanks. Each tank is carried upon a tank-carrying frame. The latter and carry-through frame are configured for fast hitch two-point interengagement providing securement of the tank-carrying frames at opposite sides of the tractor to corresponding sides of the carry-through frame. Each tank-carrying frame is preferably also equipped with landing gear including retractable legs carrying dolly wheels, as well as a jack leg, for stably supporting the tank when not attached to the tractor and facilitating rolling of the tank up to the tractor for fast hitching of the tank-carrying frame to one end of the tractor mounted carry-through frame. The tank-carrying frame members can be selectively oriented for various desired positions of the tanks.

  • Patent number: 4302904
Abstract: Apparatus selectively applies a sprayable treatment liquid to target vegetation. The apparatus is configured for being carried by an agricultural implement, as at the rear of a tractor, and includes support structure including a boom extending across several rows of vegetation. A plurality of wig-like applicators of flexible, absorbent textile material are carried in selectedly positionable relationship from the support structure. The applicators are adapted for physically contacting target vegetation, being positionable with respect to the individual rows. The applicators are carried in such manner that they open forwardly for receiving and partly surrounding target vegetation in the rows and for subsequently contacting foliage of the target vegetation as the tractor travels along the rows. Foliage parting aprons are optionally utilized with the applicators, being carried in front of a respective applicator for parting foliage of the target vegetation before the same is contacted by the applicator.

  • Patent number: 4282694
Abstract: An improved grain bin floor support system utilizes a plurality of independent floor supports for supporting interlocking flooring elements. Each floor support has curvilinear lower and upper rails, the lower serving as a base member for bearing against a subfloor or other supporting surface. Each support has plural spacers which extend between the upper and lower rails to maintain them in spaced, parallel relationship. The lower rail or base member defines a curvilinear path on the supporting surface. Similarly, the upper rail supports the flooring elements along a curvilinear path coincident with that established by the base member.

  • Patent number: 4162796
Abstract: Apparatus for mounting a spray tank or other container upon a four-wheel drive tractor having a three-point lifting hitch at the rear. The apparatus includes an upright frame adapted for attachment to said hitch when lowered and a horizontal second frame pivotally supported proximate one end by a pivot structure to the upper end of the upright frame for rotation about an upright pivot axis. The second frame supports the tank with its center of gravity spaced from the pivot axis so that the center of gravity may be relocated with respect to the hitch, when raised, upon rotation of the horizontal frame about the pivot axis. Hence, the tank center of gravity may be relocated forward of the hitch for vastly improved weight distribution.
