  • Patent number: 4524755
Abstract: An improved friction heater apparatus (10) comprises a thin walled metallic drum (25) sealed on both ends, having a centrally disposed axle (14) mounted therein, and a plurality of free floating friction elements (16) operatively associated with the axle (14), wherein the rotary motion of the axle will impart centrifugal force to the friction elements to radially displace the friction elements with respect to the axle, and into engagement with the wall of the metallic drum (25).

  • Patent number: 4144655
Abstract: A portable grain bin has a V-shaped botton with right and left hand augers to move the grain to the center of the grain bin where an auger elevator lifts it to be discharged into a truck.A perforated tube immediately above the augers in the bottom of the storage bin is connected to a fan on the storage bin so that dry air may be blown into the grain to dry the grain and keep it from heating. Wheels on the bin permit the bin to be moved from one field to an adjacent field, although when in use, the bin rests upon runners.

  • Patent number: 4104850
Abstract: A portable storage bin having a capacity of about 50 metric tons of grain is located at a field during the harvesting of grain from the field. The combines empty their hoppers into grain carts, each grain cart having a capacity of 10 metric tons. If a truck to carry the grain to the elevator is available, the grain carts discharge the grain directly into the truck. However, if a truck is not presently available, the grain carts discharge their grain into the storage bin. When a truck becomes available to pick up the grain to carry it to the elevator, it may be loaded from the storage bin or from the grain carts as capacity is available.
