  • Patent number: 11983834
Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to three-dimensional (3D) characters and rapidly generating 3D characters from a plurality of 3D source models. In generating the 3D characters, one or more 3D source models may be standardized, applied to a base mesh with material ID assignments, and decomposed to isolate particular polygonal mesh pieces and/or texture map feature selections denoted by the material IDs of the base mesh. The disparate isolated polygonal mesh pieces and/or texture map feature selections may be assembled in a modular fashion to compose unique 3D characters unlike any of those of the one or more 3D models. The 3D characters may be further refined through the addition of features and/or accessories, and may also be processed through machine learning algorithms to further ascertain uniqueness.

  • Publication number: 20090119195
Abstract: Described are methods and systems, including computer program products, for trade strategy monitoring. A plurality of trade strategies are installed in the single window of a strategy monitor and the trade strategies are activated to execute automatically and independently of one another. The plurality of trade strategies can include a first trade strategy with a value of a parameter that is different from the value of a parameter of a second trade strategy.

  • Patent number: 5027858
Abstract: Two and three stage servovalves having a first stage comprising a torque-motor driven, double jet, flapper valve, extend the present art in dynamic response through the replacement of the present flapper valve inlet orifices with active flow controllers. The flow controllers hold the flow rate from the pressure supply substantially constant under varying supply pressure and under varying operating conditions of the flapper valve and of the second and third stages. The flow controllers increase the gain of differential pressure to flapper displacement, through which the flapper to nozzle null gap can be reduced which, in turn, further increases the gain of differential pressure to flapper displacement and reduces the total flapper stroke. The stroke reduction reduces the torque-motor centering spring force, through which the torque-motor limited differential pressure can be increased.

  • Patent number: 4699166
Abstract: A fluid fuse is quickly operable to shut off fluid flow upon rupture or other failure of fluid conducting line or other structural member downstream of the fuse. The fuse is actuated during decompression fluid flow resulting from decompression of fluid and elastic contraction of structural components downstream of the fluid fuse. During decompression fluid flow, a valve member is moved from an open position to a closed position by two forces generated by a pressure differential caused by sudden decompression of the fluid and developed across two variable, sharp edge, viscosity insensitive orifices, positioned in series and separated by a flow cut-off and sealing surface. The closing force, generated by the pressure differential of the upstream orifice is dominant and increases with the displacement of the closing member in a predetermined manner, permitting the use of a high preload and high rate opposing spring, at relatively low pressure differentials.

  • Patent number: 4667695
Abstract: A two stage relief valve, in which the pilot flow is limited by an active flow control element to a specific maximum predetermined level, to extend its maximum operating pressure range and to improve its operating characteristics. The downstream orifice may be fully open and of a fixed area type, or may be controlled by a spring or solenoid biased member. With the downstream orifice solenoid or stepper motor operated, the relief pressure level becomes responsive to an electrical input signal.

The sealing surface of the fuse is provided with limited freedom of alignment to permit tight sealing. The fuse assembly includes a manually adjustable bypass arrangement and a pressure peak attenuating control.

  • Patent number: 4436111
Abstract: A hydraulic fuse for shutting off the line flow once the flow through the line reaches a certain maximum predetermined value. The spring biased movable closure element of the fuse is actuated by two force generating members positioned in series, the upstream of those members generating high actuating force, rapidly increasing with the displacement of the movable closure and configured to be relatively independent of fluid viscosity. The rate of increase in the actuating force, in respect to the displacement of the closure, can be selected at any desired level permitting the use of high rate of the biasing springs and resulting in fast enough response to trigger the fuse action by flow transient, due to the decompression of hydraulic fluid caused by a ruptured line.
