    Abstract: A tensioning assembly 10 for a cable bolt 11 comprises a clamping device (14, 16) adapted for fastening to the bolt and an outer member 18 adapted for interacting with the clamping device. The outer member 18 is able to undergo relative movement to the clamping device in the direction of the bolt's axis, and under such movement, the clamping device is caused to fasten to the bolt. Furthermore, the outer member is adapted for interacting with the bolt 11 whereby, during such relative movement, twisting of the bolt 11 with respect to the outer member 18 is restrained.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a filter device for use in diagnostic assay procedures for the effective separation of unwanted particulate matter from the liquid sample of an analyte. The device comprises plural sheet-like cappillary forms prepared from porous media, and that are able to receive and filter the liquid sample. The filter is so configured that, as the pores of the porous media become blocked, the liquid and any particulate matter contained therein are able to travel laterally, and then transversly, to unblocked regions of pores, thereby facilitating optimal speed and efficiency of sample processing. The invention extends to test kits for medical technologists that embody the filter device, and to corresponding methods of testing comprising the separation of particulate matter from samples such as body fluids and the like.

The preferred embodiment of the invention is an improved insulated-from-ground panel connector having a onepiece molded body of an insulating material. The molded body has a rear portion shaped to coact with a suitable element for mounting the connector (for example a screw thread) and a forward portion shaped to form the mating face dielectric for the connector. An inner contact of a conductive material passes through the center of and is molded into the body. The connector also has an outer contact over which a forward portion of the insulating body is molded.
