  • Patent number: 4165825
Abstract: A tiltable valve apparatus for use with pressurized containers in which the valve member is constructed of resilient material and includes a hollow shank with a substantially rigid reinforcing plug therein so that the valve stem can be tilted without bending when pressure is applied to one side for dispensing material from the container.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 15, 1977
Date of Patent: August 28, 1979
    Assignee: Southern Can Company
    Inventor: Harold M. Hansen
  • Patent number: 4134523
Abstract: A piston apparatus used with a barrier pressure container for dispensing flowable material. The portion of the piston which engages the material to be dispensed is vented to prevent the entrapment of gases when the container is being filled with the flowable material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 9, 1977
Date of Patent: January 16, 1979
    Assignee: Southern Can Company

  • Patent number: 4045938
Abstract: A barrier pressure container apparatus for dispensing viscous materials and a method of filling such container. The apparatus includes a generally cylindrical container having concave ends with a piston located between the same and having a viscous material on one side of the piston and fluid under pressure on the opposite side thereof. A dispensing valve is mounted in the top of the container so that material is dispensed by the pressure below the piston when the valve is open.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 26, 1976
Date of Patent: September 6, 1977
    Assignee: Barrier Pressure Container, Inc.
    Inventor: Harold M. Hansen
