    Abstract: A drain hose and method for improving the flow of water from a water heater during draining by cleaning the drain valve of the water heater and the water hose. The apparatus and method provide improved drainage, where the improvement is provided by inclusion of an agitator for agitating the drainage water, wherein such agitation disturbs and removes debris within the drain valve of the water heater and within the drain hose itself.
