  • Publication number: 20100160034
Abstract: A gaming system and method for operating a sequence of single games, providing enhanced payouts for bets placed with credits earned over the course of previous games, and restricting access to certain games according to a predetermined set of criterion. The system comprises a terminal for players to place their bets on outcomes of a last selected game and a single game controller for operating the last selected game. The system further comprises a sequencer for selecting the next game of the sequence at predetermined intervals of time and determining whether players are eligible to participate in the selected games. The system also comprises a bet controller for determining whether the bets were placed with regular or bonus credits, and assigning enhanced payout factors to those of the bets that were placed with bonus credits.

  • Publication number: 20100144427
Abstract: A gaming system and method for operating a multi-round game having a progressive jackpot that is incremented by those of the credits that were earned either individually or collectively by the players without being cashed in before the end of the game. The system comprises a terminal for players to enter their game-related decisions away from the eyes of competing players by operating a keyboard having a random layout. A game controller selects a game outcome and an outcome analyzer determines whether credits were earned individually or collectively. An earned credit controller updates credits earned individually, and a pool credit controller, credits earned collectively. A player can cash in earned credits by retiring, but earned credits that are not cashed in before the end of the game are incremented to a jackpot by a progressive jackpot controller.

  • Patent number: 6918589
Abstract: The present invention provides a lottery type game system, method and ticket, wherein the winning of a game is determined by the assignment of game images to a predetermined number of consecutive positions along a linear array. The value of the prize is determined by the precise position along the linear array at which this predetermined number of game images are assigned. The assignment of the position of a game image can be established by: a) matching a game image associated with a particular gaming piece with an identical image located at a predetermined position along the linear array; or b) receiving a game piece upon which both the game image and the assigned position of the game image along the array is indicated.

  • Patent number: 6152823
Abstract: A gain determination method and a gaming apparatus therefor are described herein. The gain determination method is intended to create an interaction between the players of games of chance and money. To achieve this, the gain determination method of the present invention is based on the principle that the number of players that win the game determines the gain of each player. An embodiment of the apparatus includes four gaming stations that are linked to a controller. If the number of players is sufficient and if the controller detects that more than one player wins the game, the gain of each winning player is multiplied by a variable that increases with the number of winning players.
