Publication number: 20130339257Abstract: A data processing center contracts with a patent owner to prepare a patent application and then independently contracts with one of a plurality of independent contracting patent agents to prepare the patent application with a specific relationship between the sections of the patent application. A patent agent database contains a patent agent identification and subject matter classifications for patent applications by that contracting patent agent which is scanned for a match to avoid the same subject matter from two different customers being assigned to the same contract patent agent. The contract with the contract patent agent includes specific provisions regarding the relationship of the sections of a patent application and the completed patent application is graded by the center patent agent for conformance to the specific provisions of the preparation contract. The grading is stored with each contract patent agent in the contract patent agent database.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2013Publication date: December 19, 2013Inventor: Harold W. Milton, JR.

Patent number: 8612853Abstract: A system for preparing a patent application in conjunction with a word processing program. The patent application includes elements, each having a common noun and being differentiated by a different adjective or combination of adjectives. The computer program automatically inserts the proper reference numeral or reference numerals following each occurrence of the common noun throughout the patent application.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2007Date of Patent: December 17, 2013Inventors: Harold W. Milton, Jr., Jacob Allen

Publication number: 20130226817Abstract: A processing center establishes a link over the internet between the inventor and an independent the patent agent structuring a set of claims and partial sections of a patent application to be returned by the processing center to the inventor for final editing. The picture claim is copied into the description and old elements before a coded phrase in the broad is copied into the prior art section while the new element after the coded phrase are copied into the summary section; all of which is returned by the processing center to the inventor combined with an inventor-computer word processing program for editing by the inventor. The inventor-computer word processing program is tied to the set of claims for preventing use of the inventor-computer word processing program with other documents. The processing center assigns subject matter classification numbers to inventor disclosures and to patent agents for avoiding a conflict by a patent agent.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2012Publication date: August 29, 2013Inventor: Harold W. Milton, JR.

Publication number: 20130042170Abstract: A method for drafting a claim set in a patent application presents a Tool bar including an Add Claim option. A picture claim is presented including a plurality of first claim recitations and a plurality second claim recitations divided by a characterized clause. By selecting the Add Claim option, a numbered claim set is presented including a broad claim and a first and second set of dependent claims. The second claim recitations are automatically presented in the first set of sequentially numbered dependent claims. The first claim recitations are automatically presented in the second set of sequentially numbered dependent claims following the first set of dependent claims. At least one user defined novel limitation is selected and placed after the characterized by clause in the broad claim and user defined supportive limitations are selected and placed before the characterized by clause.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2012Publication date: February 14, 2013Inventor: Mr. Harold W. Milton JR.

Patent number: 7890851Abstract: A computer program and a computer for drafting a patent application including a template memory for storing and duplicating standard headings and paragraphs of a patent and which interacts with other memories and processors to provide a structure and process to follow in preparing a patent application. An independent claim processor (12) duplicates an independent claim under the heading SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION AND ADVANTAGES and edits same into a grammatically correct sentence structure. A multiple claim processor (14) duplicates all of the claims under the heading DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT and edits same into grammatically correct sentence structure. A reference number processor (20) is responsive to a Figure number memory (18) for searching and adding reference numerals to the element names in the order of occurrence.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1999Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Inventor: Harold W. Milton, Jr.

Publication number: 20090254805Abstract: A method and computer program for drafting a claim set in a patent application presents a Tool bar (20) including an Add Claim option (22). A detailed numbered claim is presented and includes a plurality of old limitations and novel limitations. By selecting the Add Claim option (22) in the Tool bar (20), a numbered claim set is presented. A broad claim is included in the claim set and includes a broad claim characterized by clause. Each of the novel limitations are automatically presented in separate sequentially numbered dependent novel claims following the broad claim in the claim set. Each of the old limitations are automatically presented in separate sequentially numbered dependent old claims following the novel claims in the claim set.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2008Publication date: October 8, 2009Inventors: Harold W. Patent number: 4306415Abstract: A thermal energy scavenger assembly including a plurality of temperature-sensitive wires made of material which exhibits shape memory due to a thermoelastic, martensitic phase transformation. The wires are placed in tension between fixed and movable plates which are, in turn, supported by a pair of wheels which are rotatably supported by a housing for rotation about a central axis. A pair of upper and lower cams are fixed to the housing and cam followers react with the respective cams. Each cam transmits forces through a pair of hydraulic pistons. One of the pistons is connected to a movable plate to which one end of the wires are connected whereby a stress is applied to the wires to strain the wires during a first phase and whereby the cam responds to the unstraining of the wires during a second phase.Type: GrantFiled: January 14, 1980Date of Patent: December 22, 1981Inventors: Peter A. Hochstein, William L. Pringle, Harold W. Milton, Jr.
