  • Patent number: 7577439
Abstract: A radio system includes one or more remote units in each cell coverage area controlled by a base station. The remote units communicate with one or more terminals of the radio system. The remote units are configured to detect traffic parameters of one or more terminal signals within the coverage area of each remote unit. The base station is configured to receive the signals related to the detected traffic parameters from the remote units. The base station also is configured to calculate relative average traffic levels between the remote units on the basis of the received signals related to the traffic parameters from the remote units, and to allocate traffic transfer resources in the radio system on the basis of the calculated relative average traffic levels between the remote units.

  • Patent number: 5487185
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling base station transmitters in a cellular system, such as a GSM system, the base station comprising at least two transmitters (TX1 . . . TX4) transmitting on at least one control carrier and at least one traffic carrier, wherein the power transmitted on the traffic carrier is on the average lower than the power transmitted on the control carrier. In order to improve the overall life expectancy of the transmitters, at least the transmitter transmitting on the control carrier is changed constantly. (FIG.

  • Patent number: 4945633
Abstract: Method of mounting a printed circuit board and securing the earthing to a casing. The method includes providing the printed circuit board with projecting parts and an earthing connection on at least one face, providing the casing with corresponding recesses, mounting the printed circuit board so that the projecting parts fit into the recesses to support the board, attaching a flexible sealing strip of electrically conducting material, and placing a lid on the sealing strip, whereby the earthing connection contacts the casing and the sealing strip, securing the earthing connection.
