  • Publication number: 20100196613
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for coating a fiber bundle, the fiber bundle comprising at least three fibers and the method comprising guiding the fiber bundle to travel through a first and a second chamber formed by means of a first, a second and a third nozzle part of a nozzle means, whereby coating material is fed to the fiber bundle through the chambers. The fibers of the fiber bundle are kept separate from each other in the first nozzle part, so that the coating material gets to penetrate between the fibers in the first chamber; the fibers are guided into a position against each other in the second nozzle part, so that the coating material surrounds the uniform fiber bundle in the second chamber; and the fiber bundle is guided onwards through the third nozzle part to provide the final fiber bundle diameter.

  • Patent number: 7218731
Abstract: The present invention relates to a locking arrangement for a cover structure of a portable terminal device of a telecommunication system. The cover structure comprises at least one frame part (14), a cover part (16) connected to the frame part that can be removed from the frame part by the user, and locking elements for attaching the cover part to the frame part. In order that one could achieve a secure attachment and locking for the accumulator cover or accumulator packet of the device that at the same time enables the eliminating of the excessive clearances between the can parts, the locking elements comprise, in the frame part and cover part, slide bars (50, 51) and slide grooves (80) corresponding to each other.

  • Patent number: 7149307
Abstract: The present invention relates to a locking arrangement for a terminal device of a telecommunication system. To improve the operating reliability of the terminal device, the attachment and locking of the structural elements changeable by the user to the rest of the device structure is improved by a locking device which consists of a solid piece (100) to be fitted into the terminal device in the different places of the frame part of which one has formed separate spring-like locking elements, each of which functions as a locking device of some structural element of this kind of the terminal device. The first spring-like locking element (20) may e.g. be adapted to lock the accumulator of the terminal device to the accumulator space reserved for it, and the second locking element (40) to lock the smart card of the terminal device to the space reserved for it in the terminal device. In the same locking piece there may also be locking elements (30, 31) for locking the accumulator cover in place.

  • Patent number: 6892589
Abstract: The invention relates to a proof testing method and a proof testing apparatus for optical fibre where a fibre (1) is guided to a first pulling device (2) and further to a second pulling device (3) and then onto a reel (11, 12), whereby the pulling devices subject the fibre to a desired amount of tensile strength, as a result of which the fibre breaks if the fibre (1) strength is insufficient. To achieve a continuous pulling and proof testing process, the fibre end is guided in the case of a fibre break between the first and the second pulling device (2, 3) by means of a first channel section (5), which guides the fibre to the second pulling device (3). After the second pulling device (3) the fibre end is guided into a second channel section (8) which is off the normal fibre track and along which the fibre (1) is guided into a scrap fibre processing system. At a desired moment the fibre (1) is guided from the second channel section (8) to the normal track, along which the fibre is guided onto a reel (11, 12).
