  • Patent number: 6588508
Abstract: A tool string for use in a well includes a filter sub (or trapped pressure regulator sub) that is used with other components to reduce trapped pressure. The filter sub filters out debris that may occur from various types of downhole operations, such as perforating operations. By filtering out larger debris, only gases, liquids, and smaller particles are allowed to enter various components of the tool string. Without the presence of larger solid debris inside certain components of the tool string, the likelihood of plugs being formed is reduced so that gases and liquids can more readily pass out of the tool string as the tool string is retrieved to the surface of the well and the well hydrostatic pressure decreases.

  • Patent number: 5095415
Abstract: A light fixture has a housing having an axis and a light source for detecting light into the housing along the housing axis. A first section of the housing occupies a first portion of the housing's perimeter and includes a light guide material. A second section of the housing occupies a second portion of the housing's perimeter and includes light extraction structures and a Fresnel lens for beam shaping.

  • Patent number: 4501937
Abstract: An integral multiswitch display panel (FIG. 3) having a plurality of pushbutton switches (A1-4, B1-4, C1-4, D1-4) mounted thereon along with a signal lamp (16) for each switch. A control circuitry P.C. board (44) and a display drive P.C. board (10) are common to all the switches with the control contacts (40, 42) of the switches controlling the displays (24) within the respective pushbuttons to provide on-off or alpha-numeric informational indications in response to operation of the bushbutton switches. The printed circuit lines of the control circuitry P.C. board (44) are connected through hermetically sealed connectors (50, 52, 54) at the bottom of the display panel to external controlled circuits with at least some of these lines being connected to the display drive P.C. board (10) for controlling the displays (24). The pushbuttons are environmentally sealed by a common seal (8) to prevent dirt, water, and the like from entering inside the panel housing (2, 4).

  • Patent number: 4362916
Abstract: A large overtravel operating lever for a plunger (6) actuated miniature precision snap action switch (2) that includes a supporting bracket (8) having a cantilever strip (8c) extending over the plunger (6). A pivot (10) couples a lever arm (12) to the end of the cantilever strip above the plunger. A cam strip (16) is riveted to the lever arm (12) and extends between the plunger and the pivot and is formed with a nib (16c) for depressing the plunger and a constant radius contour (16b) leading from the nib for large overtravel of the lever arm. The cam strip (16) extends through a hole (8h) in the cantilever strip for clearance on movement and a stop (16e) abuts the latter to limit counterclockwise rotation of the lever arm to off position. A metal strip (18) riveted to the bracket extends across the plunger to prevent wear.
