  • Patent number: 11356332
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed which measure the functionality of a network services provider to determine its likelihood of failure. The method and system enable a point of failure to be identified and isolated by using a successive scoring system which looks at a network services provider at a resource, functionality and overall provider level.

  • Patent number: 8636232
Abstract: A method for spraying a medium mist, particularly a medium mist used in firefighting, over a large area. In the method, at least two sprays of medium mist are formed, of which a first spray is within a second medium mist spray at least at or near the spraying point. During the formation of the sprays, the medium is set into a swirling motion at least before the discharge opening of the nozzle used to form each spray and/or at least before the sprays are mixed with each other. The swirling directions of the medium in different sprays are opposite to each other, whereby a preferably homogeneous mist spray spread over a large area is achieved.

  • Patent number: 7395868
Abstract: An apparatus for blocking a medium flow passage in a spray head has a blocking element in the passage that, when unbroken, blocks the passage of medium from a first side having a first pressure to a second side having a second pressure. A supporting element is on that side of the blocking element where the pressure is lower, the supporting element being movable between a first position where the supporting element supports the blocking element so that it cannot be ruptured and a second position where the supporting element does not so support the blocking element.

  • Publication number: 20070056752
Abstract: A method for reducing the adverse effects of a fire, in which method smoke and combustion gases are removed from a space by spraying through at least one first spray head (2) a mist of a medium into a duct part (1) leading away from the space so as to generate a suction from the space into the duct near the orifice (4) of the duct (1). In a first step, the first spray head (2) is activated and, when necessary, a connection is opened from the space into the duct part (1) via the orifice (4) of the duct part by opening a shutter element (5) and, in a second step, the connection from the space into the duct part (1) is closed by means of the shutter element (5) at least when the temperature of the combustion gases and/or smoke exceeds a predetermined value in the duct part or in its vicinity and, when necessary, the spraying through the first spray head (2) in the duct part (1) is stopped.
