Abstract: An automatic soldering machine utilizing many design features which substantially reduces maintenance, simplifies the soldering operation, improves the process reliability, reduces the cycle time, and reduces the cost to fabricate such a machine.

Abstract: Metal cutting tools, such as drills or reamers, utilized to produce holes with substantially improved finishes and sizes at faster speed and feed rates having a double cutting action, said tool comprising a reamer having a plurality of cutting flutes with a 45° primary cutting surface and a tapered secondary cutting surface, the primary surface including slots or grooves thereon, and each flute may have a margin on the O.D. of the flute or a relief angle to provide accurate cutting operations.

Abstract: A hydraulic pump has a magnetic tube and two floating pistons within the tube, adapted to be moved in an axial direction within the tube as a result of magnetic flux generated by an electric coil surrounding the tube. Each piston has a valve for allowing fluid flow in one direction through the tube, and spring means acts on the pistons to control their positions. The arrangement allows operation with reduced vibration and pressure fluctuation, less heat and impact during dry running operation, and less heat and impact during high pressure shut-off.

Abstract: A blood collector comprises a thin flexible tube, which adheres to a person's finger, and the finger is punctured through the tube. The outside surface of the tube is sealed after the puncture, and a quantity of blood from the finger is collected in the tube.

Abstract: A clutch arrangement incorporates a rotating disk and a split ring adapted to be closed to establish peripheral contact with the rotating disk. A lever applies a closing force to the split ring as the split ring is rotated in a direction of rotation of the rotating disk, and an initiating member is provided in the form of an air cylinder, for making initial closure of the split ring and thereby starting rotation of the lever.

Abstract: An automatic spot soldering machine incorporates apparatus for automatically sequencing through operations for forming soldered joints at a predetermined position. The sequence includes preforming a quantity of solder from a length of solder wire and positioning it on the joint, and lowering a soldering iron into position for a predetermined period of time. The solder wire is advanced and retracted by a reversible clutch incorporating a rotatable disk and a concentric clamping ring.
