  • Patent number: 9007617
Abstract: Systems and methods provide print security for sensitive information in a print datastream. One embodiment comprises a controller that identifies sensitive information of a page of a print datastream, and identifies a secure presentation area defined for the page. The controller compares print locations defined for the sensitive information with the secure presentation area, and generates an alert if the sensitive information has a print location that is defined outside of the secure presentation area.

  • Patent number: 8904283
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for generating and associating meta-data with a final form presentation datastream document where the meta-data is structured in accordance with the datastream component architectures. Meta-data objects (“MDOs”) are architected as components of a presentation document and thus are well defined to allow applications to reliably access and process the meta-data contained therein. The MDOs may be associated with other components of the document and are architected to be extensible and flexible while still adhering to an architectural structure. The MDOs may be descriptive (no affect in document presentation) or operational (affects document presentation if processed). Standard types of MDOs may include XML standard information, JDF standard information, PWG standard information, and digital signature information. A variety of standard categories further define typical meta-data forms and applications thereof.

  • Patent number: 8896896
Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes simulating a preprinted form using a presentation overlay. The presentation device is directed to present the overlay as if it had been preprinted on the paper. Document data is then mixed with the simulated preprinted form such that the result accurately simulates a real preprinted form.

  • Patent number: 8885184
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for wrapping a job ticket for a print job within a job ticket defined according to another language. One embodiment is a system comprising a client operable to acquire print data for a print job, and a job ticket manager. The job ticket manager is operable to generate a first job ticket that is defined according to a first language, and to wrap a second job ticket defined according to a second language within the first job ticket. The client is further operable to transmit the print data and the first job ticket to a server operable to process job tickets defined according to the first language.

  • Publication number: 20120213570
Abstract: Systems are disclosed that provide a vertical configuration for tandem printing. A printer rack allows for one printer to be stacked above another printer in a vertical configuration. When the printers are installed on the printer rack, the printers face in opposite directions so that an output of one of the printers is vertically aligned with an input of the other printer. A paper web may then be fed through one printer for front side printing, and then through the other printer for back side printing. The printer rack includes a web reversing mechanism that reverses a direction of travel of the paper web as the paper web is fed between the printers and eliminates the need for a traditional turning station as commonly used in horizontal tandem printing system configurations.

  • Patent number: 7065646
Abstract: Personal identifying information is obtained from a person receiving information content via an output device and sent back to the source of the information e.g. the sender. The personal information such as that in VCARD format is entered by the person receiving the document from a smart card or similar device. The system offers confirmation to users of computer communication systems as to the identity of the recipient of information they have transmitted over the system.

  • Publication number: 20040225560
Abstract: Apparatus and method for including advertisements in output tasks. In one aspect of the invention, merchant data is provided to the output device from a merchant, the merchant data including data describing at least one advertisement of the merchant to be available to be output by the output device. Data updates are provided that are received by the output device, where the data updates modify the advertisements or the parameters by which the advertisements are chosen to be output by the output device. The advertisements and information requested by a user can be output by the output device.

  • Patent number: 4279542
Abstract: This concerns a method of connecting a subsea flowline to facilities on top of an offshore platform which is supported above a body of water and which has a plurality of conductors extending from above the water to within the sea bottom. One of the conductors is cut just above the mud line and raised to leave a gap between the lower end of the upper portion of the conductor and the conductor stub which remains firmly anchored in the sea bottom. The flowline is pulled to a position just adjacent said conductor stub. A production riser is lowered through the upper portion of the conductor and then the lower end of the production riser is connected to the pulled end of the flowline.

  • Patent number: 4230186
Abstract: A simplified subsea production wellhead which permits (1) pump-down tool operations for routine well maintenance and (2) vertical entry to the wellbore for major workover operations. The wellhead can be lowered by the production pipeline to a wellhead site on the sea floor. The production wellhead includes a diverter spool for releasably attaching to a subsea well. Pump-down tools can be used with the diverter spool. If vertical entry of the subsea well is required, the diverter spool can be released, raised and moved horizontally to one side of the subsea well, giving vertical entry. After workover operations, the diverter spool is again moved over the subsea well and reattached.

  • Patent number: 4015660
Abstract: This invention covers a subsea manifold for selectively connecting a transport line to one of a plurality of subsea production lines leading to subsea wells which are drilled in the ocean floor for the production of oil and gas. It includes a pie-shaped enclosed container with a plurality of well line inlets arranged in an arc on the inside of the container, a flow passage in the apex of the container, and a hollow flexible arm connects at one end to the flow passage and the other end is extendible to be moved from one to a selected one of the well line inlets. Due to the enclosed nature of the hollow flexible arm and enclosed arrangements, the flexible arm is not required to make a tight seal with any of the well line inlets. Individual well testing and routing of pumpdown tool (PDT) is permitted.
