  • Publication number: 20200183346
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a field device in the field of automation engineering using an operating appliance with a homogeneously produced, application-specific user interface, the method including: a) connecting the operating appliance to the field device; b) inputting an application-specific request in the operating appliance; c) transmitting the specific request to the interpreter; d) sending data and procedures corresponding to the specific request back to the operating appliance; e) forwarding the data and procedures corresponding to the specific request from the operating appliance to the field device; f) implementing the data and procedures corresponding to the specific request in the field device; and g) the method continues with method steps b) to f), the specific request being determined by the interpreter according to the operator input.

  • Patent number: 7458399
Abstract: In a method for filling a defined quantity of medium into a container, a shut-off signal for a feed pump and closing signal for a metering valve are set such that, in the closing of the metering valve, the pressure in the section of the pipeline before the metering valve remains essentially constant. In this way, the accuracy of the filling unit can be significantly improved.

Date of Patent: December 2, 2008
Assignee: Endress + Hauser Flowtec AG
    Inventor: Hartmut Breithaupt
  • Patent number: 7377685
Abstract: The apparatus comprises a first fluid line for conducting an intermittently flowing first fluid and a second fluid line for conducting an intermittently flowing second fluid, the two fluid lines being connected at a junction to a third fluid line, which forwards the two, particularly mixed, fluids. Further, the apparatus comprises a first flow adjuster, inserted in the first fluid line for setting a volumetric or mass flow rate of the first fluid, and a second flow adjuster, inserted in the second fluid line for setting a volumetric or mass flow rate of the second fluid, as well as means for generating a first control signal, representing an instantaneous setting value for the first flow adjuster, and a second control signal, representing an instantaneous setting value for the second flow adjuster. To produce the fluid mixture, the first fluid and the second fluid are made to flow into the third fluid line alternately. The invention is particularly suited for mixing fluids having different viscosities.

  • Publication number: 20070251597
Abstract: In a method for controlling after-run in a filling unit, wherein the amount of after-run is normally determined by the averaging of n filling instances, following a signal associated with the unit and signalling changes in the filling conditions, the after-run amount is determined by the averaging of m<n filling instances.

  • Publication number: 20060133941
Abstract: A pressure regulated method for a technical system that serves to prevent cavitations in a liquid medium, which is conveyed inside a conduit section consisting of a pump, a pressure sensor, a flowmeter and of a first valve. The pump pressure of the pump is regulated by the pressure sensor and the flowmeter in such a manner that the liquid pressure does not fall below the vapor pressure of the medium.
