  • Patent number: 10967630
Abstract: A sheet-fed printing press has at least one coating assembly configured as a non-impact coating assembly. The sheet-fed printing press has at least one transport belt which extends, having at least one transport section of a circular path thereto, parallel to a transport direction along a partial region of a transport path provided for a sheet. At least one coating location of the at least one coating assembly is arranged along the transport section of the at least one transport belt. At least one printing head is arranged connected to at least one first frame of the at least one coating assembly. The at least one transport belt is arranged, connected to at least one second frame, via at least one deflection device and at least one radial bearing. The at least one first frame, apart from at least one installation surface which is different from the at least one first frame and the at least one second frame, is arranged in contact to the second frame at most via flexible connections.

  • Patent number: 10766278
Abstract: A printing press has at least two units in the form of modules, at least one of which is in the form of a non-impact coating module and has at least one print head. The at least two modules each have at least one dedicated drive which is used to effect transport of a substrate through the module or through an effective region of the module. Along an intended transport path, there is at least one first application point, provided for the application of a color coating agent, an effective region of at least one drying device assigned to the first application point and at least one further application point provided for color coating agent application, and further oriented towards the same side, of at least one non-impact coating module, and an effective region of at least one further drying device assigned to the further application point. At least one print head is preferably one of connected and connectable to at least one positioning device.

  • Publication number: 20190299587
Abstract: A sheet-fed press includes at least two units embodied as modules. At least two of the modules respectively comprise at least one individual drive which is used to transport a sheet through the respective module or through at least one active region of the respective module. At least one of the at least two modules is configured as a non-impact cover module. At least one component of the at least second module comprises at least one drying system or one drying device. The sheet-fed press includes a transport path for transporting the sheets. At least the section of the transport path provided for the sheets, and secured by the non-impact cover module, extends at least essentially flat or essentially horizontally.

  • Patent number: 10265962
Abstract: A printing assembly has a frame having two side walls, between which, a transport path for the transport of printing material, extends. A transport direction is defined by the transport path. The printing assembly has at least three cross bars which extend in a transverse direction between the side walls. They are arranged one behind the other with respect to the transport direction. The printing assembly has at least three printing heads which are arranged one behind the other. At least one first additional device, is arranged on each of the cross bars. At least one second additional device, is arranged on each of the crossbars.

  • Patent number: 10137693
Abstract: A printing assembly has a frame having two side walls and has at least one cross member which extends at least in a transverse direction between the side walls and which has at least one supporting body which can be moved in relation to the frame in at least one parking direction and which extends at least in the transverse direction. At least one printing head is arranged on the supporting body and can be moved jointly with the supporting body. At least one first contact point, which is arranged on the supporting body, and at least one second contact point, which is arranged on the cross member, form a first contact-point pair. The first contact points lie opposite each other in the parking direction and are one of in contact and can be brought into contact with each other. At least one third contact point, which is arranged on the supporting body, and at least one fourth contact point, which is arranged on the cross member, form a second contact-point pair.

  • Publication number: 20180257381
Abstract: A printing assembly has a frame which has two side walls, and between which, a transport path provided for the transport of printing material, at least partially extends. A transport direction is defined by the transport path provided for the transport of printing material. The printing assembly has at least three cross bars which each extend at least in a transverse direction between the side walls and which are arranged one behind the other with respect to the transport direction. The printing assembly has at least three printing heads which are arranged one behind the other with respect to the transport direction. At least one first additional device, which is different from each printing head, is arranged on each of the cross bars, which at least one first additional device is associated with at least one front printing head arranged in front of the particular cross member in the transport direction.

  • Patent number: 8001899
Abstract: A printing device, which is usable to produce printed products, is supplied with a material web of a predetermined length. The length of the required web is defined by the printed product to be produced. The material web is assembled from several partial webs, having defined lengths. The supply of these partial webs to the printing device is provided automatically with the use of a material management system. A control unit of this system determines the length for the partial webs that have been chosen for a certain production request. These partial webs are sent to the printing device in a certain sequence so that the last one of these partial webs to be used has the least web length of the several partial webs. The minimum length of the last partial web is determined by an end of the partial web finishing the production. This sequence is determined, at the earliest, after the cycle time has ended.
